the lack of alignment between the vfl and afl fixtures is a farce

I'm not going to get to see this game as i will be in New York but having seen the swans live at Marvel in round 1 and their effort at home last week this is one we should win, we have been much better than them. A loss here will be down to mental/effort issues.

Plowman Jones Newman
Marchbank Weitering Simpson
Walsh Cripps SPS
Garlett McGovern Fisher
Silvagni Mackay Polson

Phillips Curnow Dow

Setterfield Murphy Thomas Kennedy

I've dropped Fasolo because he has had very little impact, yes kicked a couple and done some good 1%ers and tackles but nowhere near enough.

I've also dropped Gibbons because whilst he tries i dont think his impact is high either and i want to see Garlett forward, realistically Gibbons probably stays and Garlett gets dropped

Charlie out injured.

In: Marchbank, Kennedy , Silvagni

Marchbank kind of makes us too tall down back but he is too good to leave out if fit and Plowman can play small (ish)

Also moved Curnow back to the middle.

Gibbons ahead of garlett for mine

First time ever for a team

B: Plowman Jones Newman
HB: O'Brien Weitering Simpson
C: Walsh Cripps SPS
HF: Thomas McGovern Fisher
F: Gibbons Mackay Polson

R: Phillips Curnow Kennedy

I/C: Setterfield Murphy Levi Dow

C Curnow Fasolo Garlett out
No Marchbank in as will be underdone.

Levi as second ruck, can mark, is fit, and Harry stays forward (although more likely Garlett would stay and no Levi).
O'Brien at half back for the run and disposal.
Kennedy showed in the VFL last week he is ready.

Daisy starts half forward as he has been one of our best thus far so far.
Kennedy in the middle where he belongs.

We have Cripps E Curnow and Kennedy our best three grunt mids at the starting bounce.

IMHO.

Glad to hear Marchy's on the mend, but I think we should give him a couple of weeks in the 2's to get some game time. Jones and Weitering are holding up the key posts, and unless he's replacing Plowman adding him to the mix makes us too tall.

We MUST restrict the supply to Franklin.

Will Murphy play after that knock? If not, there's Kennedy's in.
I would like to see Garlett in the fwd line for a few weeks before we write hhim off. Maybe Jack at HBF although he doesn't give us a lot of possessions and run. (Neither does Garlett)
Casboult may come in for Curnow but I like Teddy's option to play him off the bench. Maybe he and Phillips can rotate off the bench all day and leave the fwd line to H and McGovern.
Sydney are as bad now as I can remember in recent years. If we play four quarters of determined footy, we are a chance. If we play one on one off quarters, look out.

I'm guessing Jack in for Curnow, Kennedy in for Murphy. Kennedy in the middle of it and Fisher to play the more suited outside role.

Sinclair not having the same impact as last time so they will stick with Phillips and (unfortunately) McKay

Would love to see Marchbank in the line up but backline held up ok last week so not sure who he replaces.

Expect Sydney to rebound.

Whatever they've shown so far this year, this club has shown itself to be of strong character over a long period of time.

Hopefully we clean 'em up anyway.

I can't see O'brien or Levis being named. Kennedy in and Jack to replace Fasolo

Levi is hopeless in the ruck. Surely Kreuzer would come in at some stage before Levi if we want a tall.

Levi is not a hopeless ruck. Not great but not hopeless and he is good around the ground. He will let Harry stay forward and give Andrew the occasional rest.

Can't see the Caz coming in.
Can see Kennedy for sure.
Maybe JSos too.
Can see us winning this.

Sam Reid is Sydney's second ruck. It's just a forward giving the main ruck a spell.

Ha! You are being modest. We know you are an expert on that subject Mister.

And we’re a team that everyone fancies themselves on the rebound.
