What a frustrating game.

Great start

Terrible 2nd quarter

Great 3rd quarter

Pretty average last quarter

Too many dumb errors really hurt us over and over again in games

won 4 quarters out of 8 so far....
Getting there. But not there yet.

Marchbank, Kruze, Kennedy, JSOS, LOB Cunningham will help.
Not sure what was going on with Murph.

Hate losing.

Garlett never to play again or I'll throw up. Polson showed glimpses but he and Gibbons are not the answer. Murphy terrible and before his big hit too......doesn't damage teams. We need class speed crumber said and defensive forwards desperately. Bottom 2 locked in......Crows licking lips fir the draft !!!!!!

Very frustrating, but I feel like when it clicks, it will come quick.

They tore Demons apart and it was their senior players that carried them across the line in the end.

Playing two good quarters a game = Crows pick 1

Super game from Weiters. He was supreme. We don't have to worry about him.

Dow and Walsh just will not be denied. Work ethic will bring the team on.

Harry and McGovern keep building and will only get better.

But geez there's a couple of passengers in there who are either overrated or just aren't up to it.

Great discipline from Setterfield to take Rockliff out of the game after half time. It's still our midfield depth and small forwards that are hurting us. A fit Kennedy would have been ideal in those conditions. We're getting there but our bottom 4 are still below the oppositions.
The biggest bonus for us? Dale Amos returning as defensive coach. We are far better organised defensively when he's managing that line.

This all all good against decent sides. We do it often. It's only ok though if we beat the sides we should. Issue is we don't.

Anyway, new season. See if it changes.

I'd rather Ed take the likes of Rockliff out of the game and Setters use his smarts and skills to play attacking football.

They have no idea.
We should have been able to go with them in the last but they beat us to the ball, used their hands better, looked for each other, put pressure on every single possession we had, kept running even though they were down to two on the bench, made space in the F50, kicked straight and basically showed us all we are still a million miles from being half reasonable.
Our boys are light, fast, can't stick a tackle, won't look for each other, can't kick a ball twenty metres to a team mate on the full, won't use the corridor, panic under pressure, get knocked off the ball, won't run out a game and give away stupid frees. They are so used to losing, it means nothing to them.

Walsh might be a gun but there were at least two players from last year's draft that played better than he did tonight. McKay can't take a mark inside fifty but he marks everything he can get his hands near out on the wing. That's because he runs at the footy on the wing and doesn't know how to lead out from FF.

We have tossed in the towel twice in the last quarter in successive weeks. The axe must swing and Bolton has to stop telling them how much he loves them and start looking for some acountability.

Overall a reasonable effort, but we had chances which we didn't take. Gee, how many turnovers or poor decisions was Murph responsible for?

Agreed. We seem to have this amazing ability to make crap teams look exactly as good as decent teams.

Next week is a big test. Swans on their knees.

What rubbish.
You must have missed the bits when Cripps and Simpson were furious at our lack of structure and accountability down back.

Murphy was ordinary which maybe isn't surprising after the knock he took

We need players who are prepared to run and get in front. I'll take that in front of class any day. SPS has class but he was useless tonight. He had one good long kick to advantage and cost us two goals with his stupid decision to keep the ball in play by handballing it two metres straight to a POrt player and that stupid free in our FP when the ball was already out of bounds and went straight down the other end for a goal..
