Looking forward to hearing what Setterfield's form is like in the guts?
What is Jack earmarked for with his newfound engine and added strength?
Will Garlett be played off HB?
Is Stocker's body and engine really mature for this level so young?

This praccy game is just that, a praccy game.

I'm guessing that the coaching staff will see if they've been guessing right.

IMO its about the forward mix:
How the marking targets work together and creating for each other.
The small-medium pressure forward roles.
Rotating mids through the forwardline.
Finding the forwards who know how to find a way to kick a goal or 3.

Definite marking forwards IMO are Charlie, Harry, Mitch and Fasolo.
Fasolo has to show he can put on heaps of pressure and blocks.
Gibbons, Cuningham, Ed, Polson will tried as the small forwards of which Gibbons and Ed can rotate through the midfield.

Expecting AFLX stars Cripps and Fish to play, along with Kreuzer who has been in cotton wool.
Not expecting Willo, Marchy, Macreadie, Lang and obviously not Docherty and Pickett.
But if they do....yippee.

This is sooooooo exciting.

Who is going to the game?
I can still make it. Still deciding.

If I don't go, and it looks that way, I look forward to reading your views and opinions Percy.

Percy Jones, what a fantastic poster name. The legend lives.
I expect some high claps from you after goals.

Goal posts will need to be very very careful.

From the club website

“Follow match-day coverage of the game via carltonfc.com.au, the official Carlton Football Club app and social channels. Stay tuned for more details.”

Also looking forward to some unvarnished opinions here and on BF.

Especially
SPS - does he look like he will go from solid contributor to game breaker?
Kennedy - can he show us what he can do off an uninterrupted pre season?
Setterfield - Dylan who?

That will make my day if that becomes a headline during the year...especially if its the Herald Scum, but if they do I will formerly recognise that rag as the Herald Sun.

It may not be this year, but I fully expect in time we will be the big winners out of the Shiel / Setterfield trades

I’m most interested in Setterfield and McKay.
I want to see Setterfield look ok after his knee injury and hoping Harry can lead with intent and clunk a few. IMO McKay is the big key to our rebuild - if he turns out to be the big KPF we’ve been searching for, we are well on our way. If not, we’re a couple of years further behind.

Other than that, I’m keen to see how we intend to play Jack.

Pre-season games are always lacking defensive pressure so I’ll take results and many aspects of our performance with a grain of salt.
But there’s also a lot I’m excited about. Was hoping to get there but work has mounted up too high today.
Looking forward to reading any posts - the offical CFC app thread will be fun but more interested in TC poster thoughts and observations.

i think jack will be used as a run with player to start off with 17th and i agree about McKay he will be a key for us. Personally i think Mckay will be a huge improvement and a huge headache for the opposition if used right.

I reckon a future of TDK and Harry rotating forward and ruck is the way to go. Can’t afford to carry lumbering ruckmen anymore?

So....what exactly is the club's coverage of the match (apart from telling you they have coverage of the match...)??
