of those out, I reckon only Marchbank, maybe Kreuzer are the ones we'd want in. Is Kennedy fit?

I’d have Byrne in any day of the week.
Kid could have been anything

The more I think about it the more Im convinced it will run riot offensively and deffensively.

Between them they could snag 4 goals.

I do not think Jack Silvagni is in our best 22 right now. But I'm surprised he's not named in Emergencies. Is he injured?

Injured.

Most likely of the NB's to be selected for tomorrow's game.

He's had a strong showing in the preseason.
Improved all his metrics. He will get bigger and stronger.
Feel I've got to sing his praises.

He will be playing senior footy this year.

Possibly borderline best 22 if every player on the list was available. imo

Whatever happens tomorrow night - see you all back at the MCG in two months for Round 8 versus the Filth.

That is ridiculous isn't it.

I am going to be at the MCG this weekend more times than Carlton will be between now and June.

Now, now.......I was under the impression most of our supporters and club were very happy with our fixture.

Does anyone believe Richmond would have played Lynch in the AFL against West Coast or Collingwood? With him probably playing 60% game time and the experimentation of Lynch, Balta and Riewoldt in the same forward line, I'd suggest they're not too concerned about us.
It makes me hate the smug flowers even more.

No clue what will happen tonite, but excited to go to the G for the opener as always. One thing I am sure of. We won't be smashed. I feel confident of our effort for 4 q's. A lot to look forward to. Let's hope it is a scary close game. A thriller at the G. Get the town talking.

Agree BV but always hated them for historic reasons but their selection does in a way slightly leaves the door ajar and I think Weller is a very curious selection too

Arrogance is the reason they lost that final last year to the Carringbush -don't think we will win but their selection in my view opens the door a little

My thoughts too BV. Plus Lynch’s form against us.

Have no idea what will happen tonight. As always I’m hoping like hell we can put in a strong 4 quarter performance. My nervous Nellie personality though is worried we will get pumped.

All I know is I’m sick of losing. Sick of being cellar dwellars. Sick of being the leagues laughing stock. The time has come. Things have to change. Let’s hope it starts tonight.

I still find myself believing WE CAN WIN THIS!!

But then, my head takes over and I see their FF line Vs our FB line and my head drops:
Riewoldt-Martin-Lynch Vs Garlett-Jones-Plowman.

But then, I think about their mids Vs ours and I feel a bit better:
Martin, Cotchin, Prestia, Lambert and I’m struggling to find more
Vs
Cripps, Walsh, SPS, Dow, Fisher, E Curnow, Setterfield not to mention some bloke named Murphy and possibly Curnow floating in on occasion.

But then I step back and recognise they have five bona fide and proven stars Vs our 2 with a bunch of potentials...
Martin, Cotchin, Reiwoldt, Rance & Lynch
Vs
Cripps, and half a star each for Murphy & Simpson.
With potentials but not yet stars: Walsh, C Curnow, Dow, SPS, Fisher, McGovern & Weitering. Oh, and Setterfield.

In summary, I think if a few of our potential stars can really announce themselves tonight, we’re a big show (provided our named FB line and their named FF line don’t spend too much time lined up like that in the match).

I'm weirdly confident tonight. can't wait to get there.

i'm not convinced by our backline minus Doc over the long season. lack depth ... but tonight; newman looked good in JLT, and i think garlett as a running back could be good. weiters really has to stand up and make this season his. he's due.

but our mids and forwards look good. russell reckons fasalo is the fittest he's been in his career, and that's the kind of small forward we've lacked since eddie. there'll be lots of opportunities for a small forward this season with 3 proper targets up front.

i don't think they're taking us very seriously, which is good. tonight will be close.

The wait is (almost) over! Often the season doesn't get any better than right now.

Still...this time last year we kicked the first 5 goals and was leading in the last quarter!

Weird things can happen...
