Thanks.
Getting very excited but trying to keep a lid on it - so I’m only going to tip us to win by 6 goals.

I don't rate Lynch.

The annoying thing is when he does play well, it always seems to be against Carlton.

Averages 4 goals a game against us.

That’s down to our lazy midfield getting ahead of themselves usually.

Can't believe the season is two days away, will get to the game early to get my seat.
I'm looking forward to the game, as much as the scones, jam and cream in the MCC longroom at half time!

I have a bit of a problem.
There is always such a big build up to this first game and I am so invested that unless we are up by 12 goals at 3/4 time I am not going to be able to enjoy it - it will either be too tense or depressing. So the very 'hobby' that I enjoy, gets me so emotionally engaged that I don't feel I can actually enjoy it.
I almost need this first game to get out of the way so I can relax (to some extent) into the season proper.
I recognise that this is ridiculous and I need to have more of a life.
Is anyone else in this boat?

(Cant imagine how Walsh must feel....)

Are you me?

Feel the same.

This year its been amped up for me, because I believe in this group and now is their time, coz the website told me so. Everything about Carlton has improved.

I'm getting loopy.

Thinking of what Walsh will do.

Thinking of where to from 56006.

If JONES sticks to Lynch like glue when the Tiggers have the ball and moving forward he will stitch Lynch up.

Expecting Jones to beat him well.
Sweet revenge.

Hi I'm Arnhem. I have been a carlton supporter for around 45 years

(all: "hello Arnhem")

It has been 24 years since I last watched a game with confident optimism....

A new Forwardline in 2019.

McKay
McGovern
Fasolo
Cuningham
Gibbons

add them to last year's 5 goal hero Charlie Curnow.

Firepower!

Add 20% game time forward from Cripps.

yep. I do think if Jones has the support around him AND he has learned not to play too far in front, he will have a great season!

I'm expecting Cripps and Martin to go head to head again.

Ed to wear Cotchin like a glove, and get plenty of disposals.

Leaves Samo, Fisher, Dow and Setterfield to anyone they have.

Murphy and Walsh on the wings.

Looks good.
Sounds good.

I always look forward to round 1 with renewed optimism.
I am happy with the forward structure and the midfield is developing but the defense is a concern.
2 reject forwards trying to make it as backman.
2 old men
1 bloke who couldn't hit a barn door from 20 paces
1 bloke who is trying to over come the gremlins of last year

Meanwhile the blokes who should be there are sitting in sick bay with no sign of a return soon.

I hope we win but feel if the tigers mids get on top our defense will get smashed
