Gibbons Fasolo or Polson for the small forward?

I will be surprised if Polson is selected for round 1.

Has to be Gibbons based on JLT but for his proven forward ability must be Fasolo.

Fasolo had a good game in the NBs and showed plenty of desperate forward pressure we need.

Can we have Gibbons and Fasolo?

Still think Murphy will be great in the forwardline, but will he be a pressure forward?

We have choices.

We will miss our 3 running backmen Marchbank, Docherty and Williamson.

Thank god Jones and Weiters seem to have stepped this season.
These 2 will have to job on Lynch and Reiwoldt. Good match ups.

Whose going to sit in the hole infront of leading Lynch?
Can't afford to give him space to lead into.

Like Blue Sombrero posted, game will be won in the midfield.
Despite the support Ed, Dow, SPS and Fish give Cripps, a lot of responsibility on Cripps to win the majority of clearances.

We win the ball, and it doesn't go to their forward line.

Come on Bluebaggers.

We're going to get spanked. Barely heard a murmur from Richmond all pre-season. Whilst the usual antagonists are talking us up in the media off not a lot.

Will be shocked if Polson plays. Has shown next to nothing at AFL level and has had plenty of chances. Should be depth only / develop in the 2s

Gibbons is a big unknown but has dominated the VFL for a long time and looked great in JLT 1. Polson hasn’t shown half of what Gibbons has over the past 2 years.

Fasolo is a proven performer at AFL level and is a dangerous matchup. He’ll be out to prove a point and seems to like the big stage.

Fasolo, Gibbons and especially Cuningham all well ahead of Polson for a similar role.

I reckon Cuningham is set for a breakout season

Well said Jake. Agree he has to line up if fit.

We won't struggle for scoring options, provided we can get it in there properly: Curnow, McKay, McGovern, Fasolo... Cunningham has shown he can kick a goal... Cripps resting forward.

Yep, we have good scoring options through mids pushing forward / resting forward now as well. I reckon Cripps, Setterfield, Fisher, Dow, SPS, Murphy all have goals in them. I’m sure Walsh will too

Chances are, Lynch won't play.

If he kicks a bag I'll quickly retract this, but I don't mind if Lynch plays.
Firstly, hasn't played since about June so will be lacking match fitness.
Secondly, he and Jack have never shared a forward line before. Jack is used to being the sole tall. Could be some early teething problems.
Thirdly, they have built their recent success on the manic pressure their smalls put on the opposition. Playing Lynch, the new ruck (forgot his name) and potentially Mav Weller, throws their balance and structures out. Hopefully we can take advantage.
