And if I am reading it, Lynch is no guarantee to be fit.

It's a botheration, really.
I'd rather flog them at full strength.

I'll take a missing Lynch and Caddy anytime.

If so, they will have still have their small forwardline at play and Jack as their sole big target.
If our mids pressure as we have seen them do and force release kicks up the line to our taller defenders, with weiters leading the charge, we will mark anything that comes in.

If our mids continue to dominate the clearances and control possession for 4 quarters...you beauty.

Injuries and Richmond.
That is something that hasn't happened in a long time.

I’m shocked to be sitting here....

That’s an injury crisis, by their standards.

Plowman on Rioli will be interesting. A ship trying to catch a jet boat.

It's a worry alright, He will get lit up against any of those small forwards.

Hence why Simmo and Newman will need to play a big role.

B Plowman Jones Newman
HB Simpson Weitering Thomas
C Fisher E.Curnow Dow
HF McGovern C.Curnow Fasolo
F Cunningham McKay Gibbons
R Phillips Cripps Murphy
INT Walsh Petrevski-Seton Setterfield O'Brien
Emerg: Silvagni, Lobbe, Garlett

Plowman in for not a lot of other options, but if Richmond go small without Lynch, I'd consider throwing McGovern back if need be, or playing Garlett instead.

Few handy outs there. Castagna has terrorised our defenders over the last few years.

Why O'Brien when he hasn't played any JLT games? I suggest Plowman and Fasolo will replace Silvagni and O'Brien, Othrwise the side looks settled for round 1 pending injuries.

Simpson, Jones, Plowman
Thomas, Weitering, Newman

Walsh, Cripps, Petrevski-Seton
Phillips, Murphy, Fisher

McGovern, C.Curnow, E.Curnow
Cuningham, McKay, Gibbons

Int from : Setterfield, Dow, Garlett, Silvagni, Fasolo.

TBH I think Jack, Gibbons and Fas are fighting for two spots.

Hmm BTW is there a reason Gibbons isn't listed in the playing list on the Carlton website?

Agreed LOB no harm letting the skinny lad develop in VFL. Amazing we are at a point now where we can do that

I’d be playing Ed on Cotchin. If you can shut him down they lose so much drive from the middle

Fasolo wins easily he's an MCG specialist and is a must inclusion, the other consideration is Matt Kennedy to help absorb some of the slogging in the middle. Ed there too checking Cotchin or Martin as long as he's got a neck protector on.

Kennedy hasn't played enough to warrant the selection, has he? Might be a bit much to throw him in the Colosseum for the season opener. We can roll out a strong midfield without him (Setterfield gets the nod)

O’Brien’s future looks highly suspect based on the fact he is proudly sponsored by TC!!
