Long weekend there in Victoria for this game: Labour Day.
I always called it Moomba Day. That's how it was, and it still is for me.

This is the game we have a sneak peak into the year ahead.
it a starts get closer to real here.

Carlton would have learned a lot about themselves against Hawks, followed by the Bombers an a 'formal' praccy game.

Expect Fasolo to play, and I hope Kreuzer's playing too.

I will get dizzy if Marchbank plays.
Gosh, talk about leaving it to the wire; if he does play.

Only 10 days before the first bounce of 2019.
We better have our shit together by then.

Carllton supporters are totally in the dark over the status of Pickett, Marchbank, Williamson, whilst our ruck...Kreuzer, Lobbe and Philips were ALL missing last weekend. Thats kind of odd. Dont you agree?

I hope the fact we've hit 50000 member (9500 ahead of same time last year), the club can feel free to tell us why those players missing are not playing at all.
Is any journo asking the question? I wonder why?

Must admit I have liked reading and hearing all the good Carlton stories over the last 5 months.
I expected the fallout of Shiel turning his back on his childhood dream. That sounds very ugly. It is.
Glad they've held back any bad news coz I haven't placed any long term bets; and that costs.

Hopefully LOB and Kennedy get a chance to prove themselves before round one. Apart from that I'd be very happy to see a similar to performance to what we dished up against the premiership favourite Bombers.

Shooting for the top since 2012.

agree about Kennedy and LOB getting a go - looks like Faz is going to be playing let him play and good if competition for spots but given his ridiculous unprofessional behaviour in the off season would be disappointed if he pipped Gibbons or Cunningham in the first game against Tigers in my view

Totally understand.
Fasolo is not a lock and lucky to be playing.

I'd say from what we all have seen thus far, Gibbons and Cuningham are ahead of Fasolo.
They've done something and our jaws dropped.
Fasolo hasnt earned his spot yet.

Fasolo would have to play a blinder against his old team to get the nod ahead of the abovemtioned.

Plus we've scored 100 points with Gibbo and Cunners chiming n with 6 goals in that team.

Fasolo could surely come in for Polson? There's room for Cuningham, Gibbons, Fasolo and a resting mid in the rotation.

Happy for the fasbender to come in for Poulson against Carringbush BV but thought first round against Tiges unlikely that Cunners Gibbons and Faz would all play in that match and given Faz behaviour doesn't warrant being selected ahead of the other 2 given their performances against Hawks and Bummers

F. Gibbons Harry Jack

I like it.

Its likeable.

I have a feeling there's 2 spots for Jack, Fas and McGovern to fight out.
Can't see McGovern missing out. I love his contest for the ball. Same with Jack.
Haven't seen anything from Fas yet coz he hasn't played.

We all like the 6 goals Giibbons and Cningham scored last game.
Lets see if they can reepeat it against last years Grand Finalists this Monday.

From the current journalism it looks like Philips is the No 1 ruck at the moment.

Hoping Collingwood bring their A-game. It was nice to beat a fellow bottom four team but the Pies will make the eight. They have a very good midfield and ruck set up so if they're at their best will be a good gauge for our young midfield. Treloar, Pendles, Adams, Beams and Sidebottom with Grundy is a top line set up.

Good to see Charlie named.

I thought they might have rested Cripps this week.

Yeah, I can just see it.

BB: Hey Crippa, you're being rested this week.
Cripps: Yeah. It's only Pendelbury, Beams and the rest.
BB: No. I man you're not playing.
Cripps: Yes I am. Any questions?

Last hitout before season starts and our players are still getting used to playing with each other, this must be a full dress rehearsal and I would assume that the Pie will be full strength side as well.
