Carlton defender Caleb Marchbank set to miss the rest of the year with a non-displaced fracture of a vertebrae at the base of his neck. @AFLcomau

Sounds like he was lucky, could have been a whole lot worse.

Latest injury update:
- Cripps and Mackay are expected to return.
- Another week for Cunningham and Stocker.
- No mention of Weitering?

Shouldn't really miss any time with a broken nose.

He seemed to stay on the ground for a very long time without moving much - concussion as well?

I say this with the utmost respect, and recognition that if it were me I would most likely still be on the ground.

But he does that a lot.

It won't be the broken nose, it will be whether there was concusssion.

Latest official list says McKay or Cuningham still 1 week, with Stocker and Cripps are tests. But then AFL site comments club expects Cripps and McKay to be available this week. Also that expect Weitering to play.

Obviously Marchbank out for the season.

I hope Stocker plays. Kid has fitted in just swell. Just need to pump games into him.

Stocker another week according to Russell. You'd think he'll come back via the VFL.

Also:
- Stocker pulled up well and will play again this week (in VFL)
- Cunningham trained well today and they will make a decision after Thur training whether he plays this weekend.
- Goddard likely to be available

According to the AFL website Cunningham is a 50/50 chance to return this week 'from a lingering knee issue'.
