Do we as Carlton supporters after so long at being shiite look for injuries as an excuse for further shiiteness.
It is a mans game that involves physical contact they are going to get hurt.
Carlton supporters are slashing their wrists at any news of any injuries

Carlton Football Club is aware of an incident that occurred on Saturday night involving forward Alex Fasolo in which he sustained a fractured radius to his left arm.

Fasolo immediately notified the Club at the time of his injury and was taken to the Alfred hospital. He then underwent surgery at the Epworth hospital on Sunday evening and his recovery is expected to be between 6 – 8 weeks.

The Club is investigating the circumstances of the incident and will be in a position to provide further comment once more details have been ascertained.

>Imagine thinking Fasolo was ever going to make our club better.
This mishap/injury is more a blessing than a curse. Anyway, get used to Fasolo being injured if he stays on the list for any length of time (hopefully not).
Another one of our baffling recruiting decisions.
It's actually funny how people were putting him in our best 22 thinking he was going to play 22 games this year and kick 40 goals, lol.

Injuries happen. Let's find out what happened to Fasolo to sustain a fractured arm. He would be an avenue to goal if he plays for us, no matter what one thinks of him as a person. We targeted him as a FA. Cost us nothing. Collingwood did not delist him. He's 26yo experienced player with exceptional skills.

Let's all wish him a speedy recovery to put his best foot forward for our club.

I wonder what the minor knee op was for Kreuzer?
Glad he has a good fitness base to resume with the squad in readiness for round 1.
He is so important to us, especially against Nankervis in round 1.
Good thing we have Philips fit and firing with a spring to his step.

Hopefully it was a minor clean up of floating in his knee.

Great news 193 cm midfield monster Setterfield has stepped up his training and did some competitive stuff last Friday.

Marchbank is running really well and soon to join the fold.

Lang is a long way off from his ankle surgery. He may come back from this a different player injury free. He along with Docherty and Pickett will be the definite no shows early in the season.

Jones back in a week too.

Kreuzer is easily the better all-round player. But he's an average ruckman. Watch the Carlton vs. West Coast game again when Phillips came into the side. Did a terrific job against Nic Nat. Kreuzer doesn't have the height or athleticism to compete against the elite rucks. Etc.

Well put stefchook.

Both have weapons.

Neither is the complete ruck package imo.

In an alternate universe he may not be better but in this one there is an argument for it.
Kreuzer's work is done at ground level after the ruck contest if the ball is still in the area. He will get found out this year at the centre because the ball will be cleared out by the team with the best tap ruckman.
Melbourne, GCS, Collingwood all have good tap rucks. Whether GCS can benefit from Witts is problematic but Melbourne and Collingwood are up there.
We need someone who can win the tap. That is one area where Kreuzer is lacking against Phillips. It may well be that DeKonig will pass both of them if he is athletic enough.

Club update | Alex Fasolo
Carltonfc.com.au

Club update | Alex Fasolo
Head of Football Brad Lloyd provides an update on Alex Fasolo.
Carlton Football Club can confirm details in relation to an incident on Saturday night involving Alex Fasolo in which he sustained a fractured radius to his left arm.

Fasolo was at a residence in Richmond when he fell outside the front of the property and used his arm to break the fall.

Fasolo immediately notified the Club at the time of the incident. He acknowledged he had consumed alcohol and while remorseful of his actions, he is aware his directly contradicts the elite standards demanded by his teammates and the Carlton Football Club.

“I’m incredibly embarrassed by what has happened. I know the next few months ahead are all about doing everything I can to regain the respect of my teammates, coaches, members supporters, and all those involved with the club,” Fasolo said.

“I certainly regret the that led to this injury, particularly since the Club has been nothing but supportive of me since I came across last year. I’m now fully focused on my recovery and hope to be out on the track as soon as possible.”

Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd acknowledged that Fasolo made a mistake and said the club would continue to support the forward.

“There’s no doubt Alex made an error in on Saturday night and he has certainly acknowledged that.

“As a we remain committed to supporting Alex, and he feels the remorse more than anyone, we also remain committed to the standards we hold ourselves accountable to, as part of being in an elite, professional sporting environment.

“We know Alex will use this as a driver to improve and win back the trust of all those who have worked closely with him since his arrival at the Blues last year,” Lloyd said.

Any potential level of sanction as a result of this incident is yet to be determined.

Let me know when Phillips is being talked about as A.A , Kreuzer is still a better tap ruckman on anything bar a center bounce, stronger and better positioning.
I won't even bother going into the effectiveness of the two around the ground. Not that Kreuzer is perfect in that regard but he is so far ahead of Phillips it isn't funny.

Lucky that he wasn’t terminated Fasolo
A complete idiot and is on absolute last chance

Many questioned why we got this guy and most were prepared to give him a chance if he put his head down and worked hard but he couldn’t even get through pre-season before he let us all down

Clear the decks too many character issues with players over the last 5 years at Carlton about time we took action

How selfish when team already has multiple training related injuries

Brought club into disrepute with behaviour

Terrible behaviour 6 weeks or so before season starts

About time we showed some steel should say bye bye to Faz

Who else was at the residence?

Were there any other Carlton players present?
