So good to see all those greats...especially Diesel back at Princes Park.

Diesel is a funny man.

38 disposals in his first game.
McGoverns doing the damage on Collingwood.

The photo of Doull probably said as much as the great man would have.

Finally got around to watching this. So, so good.

I ache for us to materially improve on field and get some wins.

Diesel

Not sure who I’m more angry at, Ron Barassi for not giving John Lloyd more games or Ian Collins (when he was at the AFL) for changing the Games played for father and son qualification so we didn’t get Matthew Lloyd.

If we aren't into Jamie Elliot as a FA, we certainly should be.
Worth about $800k a year if he can stay fit and that is the big 'if'.

Kouta looks like he could run around again, looks very fit.

Diesel was hilarious.

Did we do proper due diligence on Tom Scully and/or make him an offer to come to Carlton ?

Clearly Hawthorn didn’t use the same doctors that examined Dale Thonas’ Ankle.

Wasn't interested in us. I don't think we would have been interested in his contract.

No way was he worth the risk for us - that sized contract could easily lead to us losing one of our younger players down the track. Good for him that he got back so much quicker than expected but even if he had have been interested in us, I think we should have passed.

At the risk of repeating myself, we need a tap ruckman asap.
If there is a gangly kid out there with an enormous vertical leap and a good sense of where his team mates are, grab him and develop the rest of is game.
Hitouts to advantage are about to become the new lace-out passes to the FF.

The thing is....

Tom was never going anywhere else...
he's not a city boy... he's got his lovely
property in Narre North...just got
married...and is very low key...!

i.also mentioned last year... Cameron
didn't want him either...which may have
a bit to do with the rehab up there...!

badly mismanaged...!

i don't believe we needed him to be
honest... he's a bit of a daddy's boy...!

don't think the old bloke isn't pulling
strings still... he's the boss... that's a
fact...!

kindest regards tommi

Not that I care, just curious, but is Scully's old man on the Hawthorn pay roll, as he was at GWS ?

The Erin Phillips story should tell us something.
Maybe if Bolden gets cut from the 76ers. I doubt Simmons will become available any time soon.
Isaac Humphries 213 cm Aussie fringe player 21yo currently at Atlanta? I doubt he will make it despite his height. He was a good NBL player but the NBA is another thing altogether.

Nup Murray....

he's still working for GWS...melbourne scout...!

i'm sure he'll worm his way into the hawks
though...!

he's quite a controlling father figure...especially
with Tom...to the detriment of his other child...!

kindest regards tommi
