Is there a more myopic self-important group of supporters then Bummer fans?
If I was them I'd less worried about putting down Carlton and more worried about the inevitable slide of their Sheedy led Bummers. Once Hird and Fletcher retire they will be shizen

Seriously, a Bomber fan friend of mine rabbits on about Kepler Bradley, in my mind the new Aaron Henneman. The bOMbers are crap, getting crapper, and are set for a slide.

This whole thread seems to work on the presumption that Essendon* fans know anything at all about football!

Anyone seen this thread on Bomberblitz yet? (Thread title, Carlton) Some interesting comments, the usual mud-raking, sooky-sooky stuff. (ie Wiz Cup means nothing etc etc - I wonder if they thought that when they won it in 2000!!!) Some actually think we'll go ok! Oh well. winners are grinners AND LOSERS CAN PLEASE THEMSELVES

Good spot Laguna. I rarely go in to other teams websites and when I do, I realise just how much smarter and more articulate carlton supporters are than the rest. Not surprising really I must say I was pretty derisive about the worth of pre-season gfs in 1996 when i made the horror trip to Waverley to see us get flogged by the Saints, still, i've matured with age. Think it's a pretty important competition now!

There's about 10 more teams whose futures look brighter than the bombers. Plus there's 5 teams I haven't really looked at...

On a similar note, get out your shovels and dig a little hole in your backyards. Then, when you find something brown and wriggly, ask politely what they think Carlton's chances are. Or, move to Brighton and vote Labor. Or, buy a Richmond membership. Or take 2 needles, heat them over a blue flame and insert them into your retinas. Did anyone get the paper yesterday? From the postings here, I would say Saints fans take that honour at this point in time, closely followed by a tie for 2nd by Essendon*/Collingwood fans (I would say Port fans would have to be in the mix too).
