Ed Curnow was dreadful.

Fumbled terribly the whole night. Costly.

Good thing was that that was not our best 22.

Tonight was probably the first time I’ve queried the coaching although the counter argument will always be cohesion and how injuries have cost us.

Any news on the severity of Charlie & Weitering’s injuries?

Hope it’s nothing serious.

Left after first goal in the 3rd.

Definitely need to question the coaching tonight.
2 vs 6 in the Forward line, allow them to mark and setup from half back. Can have all the numbers back that you like but if it's against a team which has time to make decisions and a forward line which leads well and understands space it is pointless.

Curnow must have gone for scans, didn’t see him on the bench.

Weitering was concussion
Curnow haven't heard anything
Lets hope like hell it is not to serious.
We cant have the future sidelined for a year and we can't give Bolton and his coaching crew another get out of jail free card like Docherty and Gibbs gave him this year

Curnow was walking around in the change rooms with ice on his knee. Didn’t look serious.

Thank God the year is over.

From this game?
Pros:
Polson
Weitering getting some confidence back
Byrne showing us what he has.
Cripps effort
McKay
SPS possession efficiency
Marchbank did some nice things.

Cons:
The gameplan doesn't stack up. It's outdated and needs a major overhaul prior to the draft or we will pick the wrong players for the future.
Kicking efficiency
Handball efficiency
Lack of accountability
Six or eight goals from loose men inside the square
Charlie knee injury (hoping it isn't serious)
In-game coaching. Bolts just slavishly follows his shit system as the opposition keeps doing the same thing over and over and over.
Yet another 100 point thrashing.
Most players gave up half way through the second quarter and then tried to salvage their reputations in the last.
Jack Silvagni played one quarter of football but he wasn't alone. I don't think he is going to make it.
Lang was unsighted.
Tackling was well below AFL standard.
O'Brien wasted the footy but I am prepared to cut him some slack as he is just a kid and the season is long.

I feel we are going nowhere. Put our best 22 on the park and try to play that gameplan and we still get a hiding. The only time we have looked good all year was when we ran the footy. Even tonight we tried it once and it came off. Once! And Byrne had three possessions in the passage.

We broke several records tonight.
Cripps all time contested possies in a season. He will have to retire at 25 because we are going to kill him at this rate.

Highest score for the season narrowly beating the previous highest, also kicked against us.
Worst win/loss/percentage performance by the team for 117 years.
Most number of wooden spoons by one team in the 21st century (5). Richmond (2), GWS (2) Melbourne (1) and Bullies (1) also feature in that time. Plus Essendon*'s drug ban year. All those other teams are on the move or have won a flag.

Nice work to the recruiting people, coaches and players over that period.

I would have liked to have finished the season with a bit of heart and momentum but this game was just pathetic to watch as their forwards played with our defence to share the goals around and we bombed it long to Harry most of the night. Worst game for the year to finish the worst year in my lifetime and the lifetime of every other living Carlton person.

And Kennedy and Kruezer and Williamson and Plowman and Pickett and Marchbank and Fisher and Murphy and Byrne and Cunningham and Macreadie and Jones...

But yes, the coaching panel needs to lift significantly next year. Minimum 8 wins otherwise the year will be a failure

Even with all those at their best we lose. You are right about the coaches. They are shit, more so than the playing group.
