rookie football ops manager
and a squad list manager who's only prior was working in the unique situation of a an expansion club where you are starting from scratch - ie not very applicable to the real world.

5 years in the job this October. 8 years on the board. When does rookie status disappear?

Perhaps when we're no longer the afl laughing stock?

Define laughing stock?

The full belly laugh that we had from everyone when malthouse was appointed and coach knowing that we will be in the wilderness for years

or the nervous laugh we have got now as they can see that we are stocking up on really talented kids and the potential we have to shoot past allot of teams when/if it all comes together.

If we still awarded POW, this would be it.

On a serious note, interesting timing on the dig from Jonathon Brown OTC last night, who hasn't rated his recruiting record at Freo and said "he'll want to perform better at Carlton!"

Two things:

1) He's not coming here to be in charge of recruiting.

2) Browny got onto Wikipedia and did some research did he?

I actually think that Browny has a more balanced view particularly around Carlton than many of his colleagues in the Media

For me, listening to Johnno Brown is like watching re-runs of The Beverley Hillbillies.

Who do you think SOS is reporting to????

The Fremantle list looks like a basket case to me. The media eg SEN, critical Fremantle's list rebuild referring to Ballentines re-signing when they believe he is finished and the management of Bennell.

I don't know anything about Lloyd but it looks like a strange appointment to me. Surely, if we have bet on the Hawthorn model with our coach we could have continued that theme with this appointment.

Less than impressed.

He built a list that got into a grand final, what does he want?

Exactly, the media buffons are just that not to be taken too seriously. Give the bloke a go he's respected and well regarded in general.
Young , with good vision, one would think if he passed selection process and will thrive with the challenge , Brad may be lauded by the end of next year.
