How about midfield experience

Fremantle 731 combined games
Carlton 440

Men vs boys at the coalface

I'm still trying to explain away 3 wins in the last 30 games or how we got smashed 7 goals to 1 in a qtr by 16-17 men the previous week because we are so poorly drilled.

Seriously, it's not actually that hard.

Start with a list that is lacking in overall talent.
Trade out mid-older aged players to bring in genuinely talented kids.
Bring in 'retreads' to support the kids at VFL level.
Get a heap of injuries that expose the lack of depth and force you to play the kids and retreads at AFL level.
Consistently lose players to injury early in matches.
Consistently have multiple forced changes at the selection table.
Rely on first and second year players to do the bulk of the heavy lifting.

Yes there are coaching issues but that doesn't mean you can ignore the above.

Yes but apart from that you can’t explain it away can you?

Hi Sinners, haven't seen you around for a while.

I won't try to explain it as it would be an excuse and some people accept there are excuses in life and others don't.

Unlike hospital chaser lawyers, I accept that there are accidents in life and I am comfortable of the direction the list is heading.

I also understand the challenge that Bolts has and get a little frustrated with posters that say he has had 3 years to coach the team when the majority have only been on the list a year or so.

Actually I was agreeing with your point, I just forgot the sarcasm emoji....

We won the
contested ball, clearances and tackles all the coalface indicators.

We were smashed in disposal efficiency and meters gained.
