Bolton hanging on by a fingernail, pressure mounting, another disaster, 7 goals unanswered, players NFI what to do.

We select two ruck men then replace one with a rover :screwy: its complete bedlam! What happened to the game plan to go in tall??

Here come the Bolts cliches....wow he is a great teacher

Just back inside from kick to kick with my 10 year old daughter.

She displayed better skills than quite a few of our players.

There’s always reasons. Always excuses. Always mitigants.

When will we ever get it right?

The next 2 years are crucial for recruiting
Too many average rejects from other clubs

Soj not good enough
Marchbank average at best
Polson is far worse than Graham
At least Graham gets the ball
Lang is very soft
Murphy is very soft
And is a terrible kick
Always has been

Pickett terrible again

Dow and O’Brien are very small
Need plenty of protein shakes

Kerridge plenty of it but no impact

An interesting fact
Our list today averages 33 in draft number taken

Richmond’s flag team averaged 46

That says so many things about this club

Poor recruiting
Development
Culture

Stadium is great
Well worth you easterners coming over
And plenty of Blues supporters there today

After half time, Fremantle in-particular Mundy turned on the physicality and our boys sh@t themselves.
Game over.

Mundy
Neale is bigger than I thought very underrated
Langdon is a ripper

Just too big
Darcy looks like a good player as well

I shudder to think how bad we would be
If Cripps had been injured this year

I never expected to win today and I shouldn't have followed any of the first half as it just gave me false hope. Usual good performances by our future stars and rubbish from the rest. Oh well only 2 more weeks of suffering to go.

We appear to have a 'tactic' that is to hold the ball until the umpire gives a warning, then calls play on. I'm not 100% sure this is a tactic, but either the players are deciding this is a good idea, or the coaches are.

It's NOT!

It's so @#$%&! dumb it's not funny. It puts players who have very little skill to begin with under more un-necessary pressure as their 'free kick' turns to a contested possession.

I can't believe we lost. I really thought we'd win this week... oh wait no I didn't.

The 7 goal run was shit. No denying that. Problem is these kids go into their shell when a team gets a couple of quick goals because I'm sure they just think he were go again and feel completely overwhelmed and powerless to stop it. That starts to stop as the playing group matures.

I understand the frustration at some of the blokes running around for us. Graham is player 30 something on our list. As is Kerridge. So too the likes of Rowe, O'Shea, Mullet, etc. There are reasons they're getting games. Sure not because Bolton thinks they're the way forward.

Half the side are kids of varying degrees of promise and potential. Some more advanced than others. Then in the middle of all that is about 4 or 5 blokes (maybe) who are at a decent afl level and can perform at the required level consistently. 1 of them has been out for 12 months. 2 are in their twilight. Apart from Cripps we have no one in that zone of reaching their peak this year

So am I disappointed to lose today? Yep. Every loss burns and watching plebs like Graham and Kerridge turn it over and stuff it up ad nauseam is galling. Did I expect something different? Nope. Am I going lose my shit over it? No.

2 more weeks and the season from hell ends. I have to believe this is rock bottom. I keep seeing improvements. They're there each week. You have to sift through a lot of shit to see it. You have to put up with those quarters and sometimes fill games. Its nearly over. Stay the course. Endure. Hope starts again 26th August

Could’ve played Kerr up forward and played Charlie upfield instead of Graham.
Mullets a better player than Kerridge as well.
