The season is nearly finished and Lynch has said he will leave Gold Coast which almost guarantees The Sun's will get an early compensation pick. With that in mind do you think we will get a priority pick and if so would it be after our first pick (eg: 2 or 3) or at the end of the first round (eg: 19 or 20)?

Based on our season and the past 5 years we should get a PP before the first round.
We all know that won't happen, imagine the "outrage" if we do.
Still unclear if we actually have to apply or not as it doesn't seem to be written in the rules that we do.

If the head honcho's of our footy club don't apply for a PP then they should all walk. And that PP should be before the first round.................there was a time i would not have said that but after today's pitiful effort we gotta do something. We will improve ,but so will everyone else.Class players only will improve our team.Hard as they try, these blokes apart from a handful are barely B grade.

GCS will get the pre-first rounder, we'll get picks #2 and #20 and be thankful for it.

Yep, we'll finish last and not get pick 1... AFL will screw us first before they help us.

And the media will think that is perfectly okay.

Nah, we are responsible for our crapness therefore don't deserve a PP, but every other crap side in history was crap just by chance

Gill Mclachlan wanted LoGiudice to employ his mate, Simon Lethean to the CEO position. LoGiudice said it was a done deal but the Carlton board had other ideas. Cain Liddle was appointed before another move and according to an ex-senior AFL coach of the club as recently as this week, the AFL said Carlton have zero chance in getting a priority pick. The AFL hate Carlton! This is all very much rumour so not based on fact but I believe it's absolutely true. It's why journalists like Caroline Wilson went so hard at our Pres. She was doing the AFL's (Devil's) bidding

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Why would we get one when the club stated they would not apply?

If they do now apply they'll look completely ridiculous. Likely too proud for that.

Not that such pride does us any good at all.

At the end of the day, our win/loss ratio speaks for itself, we have well and truly met the "KPI's" for a priority pick. And if we don't get one equivalent to what all the other teams have had in the last decade or so, then we can be sure about what we all already know - the AFL has it in for Carlton (while the media at large ride this sentiment with impunity).

If we do get one, and I think we will, it'll be end of first round. Which will be better than nothing, and which SOS may use effectively, but still falls far short of what has been handed to others.

Gil is a die hard Saints man. Simon going to the Saints was probably always going to be given Gil's blessing.

This will not happen.

The team that finishes last will get the first pick.

If we do not apply for a pp then the board should be sacked, it is time this club stated we are not going to be reamed anymore , and we are going to use the system and get this club back to where it should be , and the rest of the comp and media can get stuffed , because we are going to look after ourselves before anyone else , time to play hardball Carlton !!!!

Reamed? The AFL hasn't reamed Carlton for a very long time. The Carlton hierarchy have been too busy reaming themselves. The time to get mad has long passed.
