Can't believe I'm saying this but I reckon we'll avoid the Spoon. This week by far the toughest ( we did beat them as red hot favs here last time though) but we can win the rest. Avoiding the spoon maybe better than the no.1 pick but not sure about losing a possible PP. Winning is good though
We have won 2 out 18 then all of a sudden we are going to win 3 of the next 4 making 4 of the last 5 and avoid spoon.
It would be a good way to finish the season but I don't think so

Agree GWS , Freo at Optus & Crows all difficult, perhaps the Doggies but can't see it really. Hope the boys give it their best and battle it out in all games. We need the soothing feeling.

It's the end of the season, and Crows and Freo had a shot at the 8 and failed so not sure they're up and about now tbh. We are coming from the depths of despair win/loss wise but pushed some of the best at times and now have finally beaten a crap team. Will be interesting.....hope we resist the temptation to play the likes of Levi though. Ain't the future.

...and of course assuming that the teams closest to us on the ladder don't win again themselves.

Crows and Freo to a lesser extent are strengthening both tough propositions on paper. Hopefully the Baggers go in hard like last week, anything is possible.

Nah we won't avoid the spoon, my guess is that we might play well enough in the last month to piss some off when the AFL gives a priority pick.

I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Shank come in for Weitering.
Schumacher and Macreadie are probably underdone. Kreuzer will be the interesting one.

Can't believe Kreuzer isn't selected.

I'm guessing the MC are satisfied with the job Lobbe is doing as a ruckman, they can afford to rest Kreuzer.

Maybe the MC want to see what a real tap ruckman can offer this team against a bullocking ruck roving type of ruck, who is not a great tap ruckman.

Carlton havent had a bonafide ruckman since....Matty Allan circa 1999.

Maybe Kreuzer is not right and there's more going on despite Ed suggesting he's fine nd keen to go.

Perhaps........

But Kreuzer was very unlucky not to get an AA selection last year. He was one of the best ruckman in the competition last year.

Spot on Bondi. And after our 2nd win in 26 games or whatever you really wouldn't be changing anything unless you had to

Reckon we look better with the old tap ruckman in Lobbe. He did actually follow up his own tap last week too lol. De Koning could be our next Grundy in a year or so too

My call too. Shiel rested against his future team.

If there's no change would that be the first time this season?

Post subject:  Re: R20: Carlton v GWS - C Curnow free to play

B Byrne Rowe Marchbank
HB Simpson Weitering Thomas ..........Lamb .....HF/HB releases Silvagni

C OBrien Cripps Dow .............Pickett .....Outside speed releases Dow
R Lobbe Curnow Murphy ............Kennedy...chop out for Cripps/Curnow

HF Petrovton Curnow Pickett .........Lang ...goal kicker/ mid releases Petrovton
F Polson McKay Silvagni

Graham or Kerridge may have a sniff to be emergency on Sunday.

Still no change for me.
We have plenty who can rotate and a winning feeling.

I can honestly say I feel we can win because of abovementioned names.
People under estimate our defensive game when its on. BB has a game plan.

But, I also want GWS to win the flag this year. Maybe we win next weeks instead.
That sort of tanking might free up Shiel and Kelly for us this year's trade.
