It was great to have a win. Really liked the games of both our leaders and our youngsters. SOSOS had some quality touches, particularly the vision and pass to set up LOB. SPS was great tonight. Paddy Dow keeps getting better and that goal on the run was superb. Weiters was back to intercepting and delivering nicely and Marchy did some really nice things too. Then you have the leaders in Simmo,Ed and Murph doing well. But BOG by the length of the Flemington straight was 3 votes - P Cripps. What a player! I just love watching him play the game.

Winning is so much better than losing

Pros:

Gee, it's good to get a win. And a 6 goal win. It's been a while.
Accuracy.
No early injuries.
Murphy's clean hands in the conditions were terrific.
Cripps and Charlie.
Best game in 2 years from Weitering. Best game in a year from SPS. Best game we've seen from Lang.
Lamb, Dow and Marchbank (although he needs to work on his kicking).
Great to see Byrne back in the side.
Enjoyed SOJ's work at the clearances.
More signs from Harry and LOB.
Good 2nd half from Kennedy.

Cons:

Another slow start.
Really like Pickett. But he got thrashed by Harbrow.

SPS ... looked like Andrew Mcleod last night.
Dow excellent
Polson was good and showed some dash.
L'OB was great.

I wish we'd play man on more often and allow the kids to run on instinct ... imo they'll grow faster playing like that, than the structured zoning that elite teams play.

Call me old fashioned if you like, but just realised last night one other thing I like about this side is that they are not covered in ink like every other side. Hope they stay that way!

Yes, that's why O'Shea should never play again :)

Absolutely, always been a point of pride for me and helped easy the pain of Tuohy's departure.

I was at the Tigers/Pies game yesterday, and FMD the number of next&sleeve tatts I encountered in my travels was astounding.

82 tackles compared to 54, 53 & 58 over the last three weeks. Much better.

I think Bolts must have read my post from the pre-game thread.

Great win , will give the team more confidence , I thought kids played really well tonight , Dow,SPS, Weitering ect. I liked a lot of the work O'Brien did as well , he really has a great left foot and will only get better with experience , big H is going to be something else once he gains more experience and learns to use that big frame , nice to read positive posts as well , puts a smile on the dial, GO BLUES !!!!!

I started watching from about the 20m mark of 2nd qtr. Thank god I didn't see the first 50 mins, but WTF happened from just before half time? Did they finally realise they could take the game on? Were the GC totalled F-ed and we saw an opportunity?

The players seemed to know what to do all of a sudden. They played with purpose. I don't GAF if we get beaten by 10 goals if we see them going forward and using their natural abilities.

Looking forward to our 30 second wrap on AFL Game Day, won’t take up too much memory space on the old FOXTEL IQ box.

Now if we could only lose the guy who give those appalling free haircuts.

How shit must the Swans be?
