The youngest list in the AFL competition, putting their slim bodies on the line, week in week out, with very little result. Let's make our young players more aware of our proud history, born through times where we played tough four quarter football, when all players wore full length jumpers.

In this age of endless tactics and multiple coaches, the young players can seem inable to grasp the old fashioned brand of football where you put your body on the line. As our captain Marc Murhpy said recently we just want to come out and play four quarters of tough football - and what better to put this into the minds of all our players than wear full length jumpers? At every contest reminded of their commitment to our once great club.

This may seem like a left field idea - but what can we make from our last month of football in season 2018? Our young players need to be taught a lesson which they will remember. In all seriousness, every player proudly wearing a long sleeved jumper with their number on their back.

Go the navy blues in season 2018!

I don't even think we'll be wearing the navy blue when we play Freo. :screwy:  :screwy:

The lesson which they should remember would be not wearing grey.

Insipid colours produce insipid displays. There have been studies showing that teams sporting bold reds and blues tend to perform better than those in neutral tones. In last year's football season, Liverpool FC had a grey away kit and third kit that was a headache-inducing fluorescent orange; results in the latter were so overwhelmingly better that fans were imploring the club to ditch the away kit and go orange for all non-home games.

"Bold reds and blues". Worked well for Melbourne over the last fifty odd years. Then there's the Doggies...

You have to choose one or the other, mixing dilutes the effect of each. Unless you're Barcelona. ☺
