Lloyd and Caro looked relieved when the interview was over … SOS floored them

Pretty awkward viewing, definitely saw a different side of SOS there.

Not sure he completely wiped the floor with the panel as others a re saying

Maybe not, but he didn't take a backwards step either. It was nice to see someone representing the club show a bit of backbone

Agree, he was also incredibly defensive

He seemed more interested in picking fights, settling personal scores

Clearly, he doesn't like criticism... we're bottom of the ladder, maybe winning 1 game for the whole year (which could be 1 win in our last 33 games?) so there will be criticism.

He has to get used to it... as he stated, he's responsible for the list.

SOS was on the front foot. Caro spent her time interupting and none of the panel had done any homework. The only question he fumbled was re improvement. He should have pointed out that it is hard for Byrne Williamson macreadie Pickett marchbank Cunningham to show improvement when they have been injured almost all year - and in Byrnes case 2 and a half years. Also could point out that jacksos was about pick 50 so is tracking well against most picks at that number. Showed how woeful the footy media is. Uniformed, opinionated and arrogant. Caro hates Carlton, good to see that 1982 still rankles after all these years.

It’s pretty clear from your recent posting history that SoS kicked your dog.

I’m interested in your reaction to his refutation of Caro’s (and your) assertions that he’s whispering in LoGiudice’s ear.

My VPN worked for once.
SOS did very well and the exchange at the end with Lloyd was interesting.
Defo no lost love there.

SOS looks like he could still run out.

Just screened here. Loved his defiance. Wish our players showed as much fight on the field :lol

Very tense interview you can see SOS is under pressure
Responds well albeit a tad aggressive.
One thing that stood out for me was
" those players were never brought in to play senoir footy they were brought in to play reserves"

Horrible message that one virtually say there is two class of players at Carlton.
You sort of wonder if that is why there appears to be a lack of effort

Tough gig he should not be beyond criticism but I don't believe him when he says he doesn't hold much clout at the club

Loved that interview from SOS, at one point he looked like he wanted to reach out choke Wilson to death and hammerfist Monga.
Thought he spoke very well and pointed out some of the double standards. Would like to see more combative SOS in the future; just need to instill some of that fire into the playing group.

The last time I saw someone from the club that punchy with the media was Malthouse's first Carlton press conference.

That turned out pretty well

sos spoke well at times, and at others he looked and sounded like a flustered guy under huge stress and perhaps not dealing with it real well.

i thought caro and hutch had a few valid questions, and some of sos's answers were ordinary; trotting out those lines "but what about everyone else, how come they're not here giving interviews" ...

we're the only club that's been so vocal and stoic about a full reset and rebuild and we're also the only club with a rookie coach with one win in his 3rd season, 2 wins from the last 26 games and haven't kicked over 100 points in nearly 3 seasons. it is time to question parts of our direction and ask tough questions.

we need our decision makers at the club to stand up and reassure us. the timing is right. so for sos to be defensive about that is curious to me...

That's a pretty good summary Braithy.
