Mitchell would be great. Espcieally with another premiership start like Bartel.

Talk about telling the players what it takes for success

Ex Carlton players don't seem to be given much of a look in. What would they bring ?

What it means to play for Carlton !!

Yeah, nah…

Ratten
Teague
Gleeson
McKay
Kernahan
Williams

That's off the top of my head in 30 seconds, there's probably some embarrassing misses out there as well.

I think assistants and coaches are funny. Have a talented base, it’s easy. Have what we have and they are no good. Subjective based on success.

When the wheels turn, it’s the coaches at the club who get the credit, not the ones who have done the hard yards.

I wonder if Ratts would make a good replacement for Macca ?

 Can't wait to get back to the days of the agonising decisions over whether to delist Bower or Setanta cause our list is so awesome we are struggling to cull the minimum required 3 players every year.

(this is not personally directed at you, but gee talk about Ratts overrating a list / development)

I'm confused, what have Gleeson, McKay and Kernahan got to do with coaching ? Maybe it's my waning interest in footy.

With Mitchell now confirming that he is coming back to Melbourne you would think he's already lined up a job. I really hope we have him. He is exactly what a young developing midfield needs.

It was more about a general ex-players not getting a look in; there's been plenty of ex-players involved at the club who would, in theory, have opportunities to let the players know what it means to play for Carlton.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have meant much in the best part of two decades. :(

Dawks mate says Mitch will be sitting next to Clarko. So it's Blake we need for me. OUT: Barks IN: Blake

I wouldn't be putting my money on that one.

while mitchell would be good, Caracella would be the best. the key difference. Blake is proven. everywhere he's worked, people rave about him.

with a rookie head coach like BB, someone proven alongside him (ala Neil Craig) is paramount, imo.

I also don't think CFC would be a hard sell to any line coach worth his salt. We're building a good list, we're bound to improve at some point and being a part of that growth is something which looks good on a CV when future HC roles become available. as long as CFC is opening the cheque book and paying the market rates. which is a big if based on the current set up

Is he good because of the players at his disposal? We picked up some great assistants too. Amos has high wraps, so Bruce.

I would love to have him back. Not sure he has forgiven us though.
