with a rookie head coach like BB, someone proven alongside him (ala Neil Craig) is paramount, imo.

I also don't think CFC would be a hard sell to any line coach worth his salt. We're building a good list, we're bound to improve at some point and being a part of that growth is something which looks good on a CV when future HC roles become available. as long as CFC is opening the cheque book and paying the market rates. which is a big if based on the current set up

Is he good because of the players at his disposal? We picked up some great assistants too. Amos has high wraps, so Bruce.

No Judd, no Ratten!!

Why would people want Ratten back? So we can once again start overrating our list and go for short fixes instead of building and developing for the future?

Mitchell to Carlton would probably work. But IMO BB also needs an experienced Coach to ride shotgun for him.

Mitchell was a very smart footballer, but presently he's still on his coaching L plates. By all means make a play for him, but we need more than just him.

Ratten leaving Hawks at the end of the year to “explore other opportunities”.

In - Ratten
Out - Barker

Make it so.

I’d be happy for Barker to stay at the club in some capacity. Possibly the Football Operations Manager position vacated by McKay? Although my preference is that we try to poach an experienced Football Operations Manager from another club for that role (Josh Mahoney? Chris Bond?).

It's pretty obvious that it's IN: Mitchell OUT: Ratten at the Hawks.

Ryan O'Keefe is available and being chased by Victorian clubs after Adelaide decided to let him go. He coached their SANFL side the past two seasons and was there for 4 years all up.

Haven't heard much about him since he's been over there.

Reckon Mitchell would be outstanding for our young midfielders.
The experience to help Dow, Fisher and SPS would be priceless for their growth.

He has a strong footy background and is well regarded. I'm happy with that.
