Also, Gerard Whateley says we are a year ahead of Fremantle. Sure, but Ross Lyon is a vastly more experienced coach than Bolton. Ross Lyon is David Mundy to Bolton’s Zac Fisher.

I’d take zac over Mundy

That's just another Whateley dig at Carlton.

He's obsessed for ratings by getting under the skin of Carlton supporters

Someone told me Gerard Whateley said that the adjudication of umpire touching is a joke and they make it up since the Hawkins hit of the umpires hands.

It was he who started the hysteria since Hawkins got suspended.
He made Curnow touch an issue despite the difference being a touch vs a hit at umpires hand.
It was he who got into Steve Hockings ear to appeal the Curnow findings/ fines.

He disgusts me.

Weasel of the highest order, who should stick to horse racing and leave footy alone.

He's never played Aussie Rules and hasn't got a clue.

So the head lines read something like undermanned Eagles get smashed by red hot Bombers.

Hang on. Carlton has a bigger injury list to a list lacking depth than the Eagles but yet last week the media were happy to report Carlton were a disgrace and were smashed from pillar to post by some in the media.

Carlton had same no. of shots at goal as Eagles did in first half, and only 1 behind more in the 2nd half....and Carlton were expected to take the 2018 wooden spoon, yet its OK for top of the ladder to perform like they did on Thursday night Prime Time Free To Air TV .

Last week, Carlton scored more than last years Grand Finalist Adelaide but Carlton were crucified by media. Compare the lists. Crows ve 3 ex Carlton All Australians in their team.

Something really unbalanced with media reporting the AFL.

He's not that tall either.

Aaaaaand, he rarely speaks in cliches.

Some of the commentators who've played hundreds of games make Whateley look like a footballing genius.

They aren't the benchmark.

Neither is Whateley.

Nerd vs Alpha males trying to get some work without working.

I would have taken a loss like last night if we were 10 and 3

Unbalanced or lazy?

It's a bit of a rehashed quote, but: whenever you're faced with a choice between incompetence and conspiracy, always choose incompetence.

The "self acclaimed" gurus at afl.com.au have done it again.

Dim Din from afl.com.au writes the following:

Quote:
Dinny Navaratnam
5. Sam Walsh (Carlton)
4. Sydney Stack (Richmond)
3. Connor Rozee (Port Adelaide)
2. Cam Zurhaar (North Melbourne)
1. Josh Battle (St Kilda)

Why Sam Walsh should win: The Blue picked up fewer than 20 disposals just once inside the first 20 rounds. His consistency, so early in his career, is absurd. It's close though, and if Stack didn't miss the final two weeks of the season and strutted his stuff against a couple of powerhouse sides, he might have pipped Walsh.

https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-08-28/ ... r-top-five

...and just as a reminder of how off the mark this Dinwit is, here's the summary from afl.com.au, from afl.com.au on last nights AFLPA best first year player:

Quote:
Walsh, pick No.1 in last year's NAB AFL Draft, lived up to the hype this season to triple the number of votes of the second-placed Connor Rozee, with Sydney Stack finishing third.

Obviously reported as that because they are facts afl.com.au writers/ squigglers can't change to suit their anti Carlton agenda.

Dinwit is a bit off the mark..... as usual, which Carlton supporters have come to expect from the afl.com.au fiction writers.

Don't forget these Carlton bashers as we rise to our rightful spot as a Premiership Club.

I'm not interested in them sucking up Carlton and its supporters down the track. I just want them gone from main stream media as a result from their fictitious bias propaganda.

There must be a list of those journos and commentators we will never forgive or forget. Agro?

Lol Josh Battle.

I was shocked at how few votes Nick Blakey got.

Apparently the latest was on RSN they were crapping on about how if Worpel qualified for this year he'd have won it.

Not sure what else Walsh has to do to convince these idiots.
