Nothing.

IMO they've missed an opportunity.

What about Cripps's engaging discussions with JSOS and SPS?

'best of...' videos is about what I would expect.... Mind you, happy to have a week's break... It's been a tough few weeks!

I do chuckle at the frequency with which our fringe players become Brownlow medallists on Talking Carlton in waiting as soon as they've been out of the seniors for a few weeks.

And then, once in the seniors, even our good players get smashed by our own supporters mercilessly.

I'll bet that half the premiership teams would be equally worthy of criticism if their teams weren't winning for a whole host of reasons. Which might also explain why our players mysteriously become stars at other clubs.

ANYWAY, that rant aside, I think we are a big chance against Freo.
I'm hopefully of noticeable improvement over the second half of the season as we start to get the hang of balancing defence & attack, and more experience.

Walters should be suspended but then again he is only playing Carlton so a fine will probably suffice

Good start to the week. He's done for that crap.

They also have another out with a broken thumb.

Sandi and Fyfe back.

Hoping Marchbank Kennedy and Casboult back for us.
No idea where Marchbank is at.

Possibly Murphy and Pickett the week after.

Expecting a better half season.

Michael Walters can accept 1 game sanction, striking JKelly.

Dreaming
1 if we are lucky
Freos midfield will carve us up and Mccarthy will get a bag
Pies are in a different league and pump us by 10 goals plus
Port are flat track bullies Gray and Westhoff will kick 3 each and Dixon will bag 6
Lion will jump out the blocks and be up by 50 at half time Zorko will have a million disposals we will craw back in 2 nd half and lose by 30

Freo are not a high scoring team. I heard on their game tv coverage they were one of the youngest teams playing on the weekend.

They are also down a couple of their best players from the weekend's game.

If we lose on Saturday we have no excuses left. The team who wants it most will win!!

McCarthy was playing WAFL at the weekend. The Rising Star took his place.

FREO: McCarthy isn't playing Seniors. They've won one game not played in the West this year, against Gold Coast. They average only 54 points away from home. If Sandilands comes back in he's likely to be underdone.

PIES: These games can go either way. I'm not saying we're a monty or anything, but you never know.

PORT: Port are only 2-2 away from home. They can blow hot and cold. They haven't played at the 'G all season.

LIONS: They're a bit of a bogey side, sure, but if we've come through the previous three games in decent form, I back us in.

Let's just say my optimism stands in relief to your pessimism.

Pies are a bit suspect in a lockdown game. Geelong exploited that against them and held them to 5 goals. Richmond ran away from them too in a similar game. We play that game pretty well. Even though we don't win we play it in a highly competitive manner as Geelong and Sydney found. It'll be the same against the Pies unless Bolts decides to go with his zoning plan again, then we get thumped.

Optimism is great, but reality rules , Freo perhaps, but don't hold your breath, Pies and Port, we'll give us a belting. Lions at the Gabba are very staunch , expect a battle , especially aganist the weaker sides, it will be very hard expecting Gabba to swing result their way.
At very best 1 out of 4, The Boys can defend courageously and effectively at times against most teams but we can't score, our forwards are haphazard and impotent.
