The number of times the Swans got away with hands in the back was ridiculous.

And holding the man.

I hate Clarkson but gee he had a point in relation to the Swans.

Rarely seen Kreuz beaten so badly. Cripps completely banged up. Swans too strong too often with long bomb forward. Thomas had a shocker, trying things he could do ten years ago but has never been able to do at Carlton. Lamb offers little beyond annoying Sicily and Goddard. Need more pace in fwd half, more midfielders. SOS very good. Wietering getting back to form Jones very good. Ed Curnow a great leader. Kerr hasn't developed body strength yet but leads well, is smart, willing and despite misses is a good kick. Dow will be a star.

Sinclair had a great game around the ground. Kreuzer wasn't too bad around the ground himself but no-where near as good as Sinclair. Kreuzer comfortable won the tap out count for what it's worth, not sure of the important figures to advantage, but we won the clearances by 5, winning both stoppage and centre clearances.

Kerr's body strength is good at VFL but certainly still a work in progress at AFL. Kerr was terrific on the lead but Grundy's body strength looked significant.

Krooz didn't look to be covering the ground very well but his leaping was good. Not sure if he's injured.

What did we do to this bloke?

Franklin gets two goals from frees. One when Rowe’s finger gets caught in his jumper. The other from a dubious 50m penalty. Sinclair and Kreuzer wrestle and a free is plucked to Sinclair, he goals. Heeney. Parker. Both dead in front.

Meanwhile C Curnow and Wright get free kicks on goal and miss.

Comprehensive.

Both there, if it was us we would be cracking it sideways if we didn't get them.
Why in gods name would you hold onto a jumper and pull your opponent towards you when you fly for the ball. Come on please.

Pros

Dow improving every game
Kerr showing glimpses
Kerridges job on Hannebery
Weitering played his best game for the year and looks like he's got his confidence back
Jones being more solid
SOS showing he can play lacks pace but smart

Cons

Thomas and Rowe cooked and Simmo limping to 300
How can we continue to handball to the opposition its the easiest skill in the game!!!
O'Brien needs a spell
Lamb offers very little
O'Shea surely has to go anyone can take his spot
Cripps had a shocker let off very easy for the missed tackle on Parker where he just fell over. Seem to remember Murphy being slaughtered on here for missing a tackle as Captain against the Swans last year and also being banged up but he didn't get any excuses.
Kerridge's disposal was terrible please only handball and hit the first option
We got a very good go from the umpires yet still plenty of whinging

Match Review of last night's Sydney/Carlton match completed.

2 charges laid.

No other incidents required detailed explanation.

Callum Sinclair can accept $1000 sanction, staging during the third quarter.
Sam Rowe can accept $1500 sanction, misconduct against Lance Franklin.

Was Cripps right to play? Or was it another case of the Carlton injury management team making the wrong call

Have we become the AFL’s version of the “Washington Generals”?

Maybe for 2018?

Second half of the year presents a great opportunity to get a few more wins if we get some key personnel back on the park.

Why are we so mentally fragile when shooting at goal? It's pathetic really.

Well, the other teams do run too far with the ball, and can make fun of the umpire and get away with it.

Exasperatin' aint it.............we did a lot right but stuffed up in the clutch moments................but i aint deluded, coz if we don't start getting a bit more of the ball between the arcs we gonna be ratshit for a while yet.I mean easy kicks which the Swans seemed to get at will in the last half of the third quarter and a patch in the last.Everything looks really hard work for our boys..............anyhow we gotta persist with these young guys.No alternative.Just keep grinding' away coz surely we have the ability to beat Freo on our own deck....................hopefully the boys can freshen up and have a big second half to the season.

As long as we don't become the AFL's 21st century version of Fitzroy.
