Well done Big K

Thanks Sydney B.

The point I was trying to make was that the popular opinion in some circles that Carlton somehow “deserves” to be down the bottom of the ladder whereas other teams are somehow more “noble” is, in 2018, patently nonsense.

Judging by the responses though I don’t think that this has really resonated, but never mind.

I can’t believe though that I wrote that I want a team that will win us our 18th flag. (I do, but perhaps we should get #17 first.)

I assumed you meant two in a row, as in sustained success B.K.
Don't sweat it. Have enjoyed reading the thread.

what we all do sometimes Big K..!

It comes from a place of angst...!

i've asked myself questions and arnswered
them myself before...nearly always because
of being flabbergasted...!

and let's face it...our club HAS delivered
flabbergastery by the container load...!

The team could use a little Diamond Shield about now.

I simply believe we held onto the arrogence for too long. The 'we are Carlton, bugger the rest' mentality! It idd us no favours. We simply felt that because we are carlton we deserve Friday night games, premiership success, etc etc.

I still think theres some left too.

Years ago I was in my footy club's knock out footy tipping comp where you had to pick one winner each week. I cleaned up, winning $270. At the time the Bulldogs were shithouse so the rule was that you couldn't pick their opponents two weeks in a row.

A couple of days ago at work the same rule was brought in for Carlton's opponents in the knock out tipping comp.

No doubt sbout the arrogance, but Elliot should have known our financial plight, and we did all believe the Billionaires would cover our losses.

I have no doubt we deserve Friday night games, and no doubt it is because we have a huge following, not necesarily translated into Members.

Have to consider the fact we have been the worst performing team since 2000 and have close to 53000 Members. There's something like 40000 past Members not part of that number.

We are not a small club in terms of supporters, and tv audience. FACT

Im not sure what went wrong but I've had enough of being at the bottom.

We are now the but of all footy jokes.

Last night on the front bar Jackovich asked if Carlton were still in the competition. Smug f___k.

Yesterday a reporter asked our coach if we were embarrased to be on Friday night footy.

Bloody disrespectful pricks.

Bolton should have had a real crack back. Hopefully we show up tonight and prove them wrong.

I hope this crap is shown to our players.

Noticed that. Appalling!
Bolton gave him the eye and asked 'embarrassed?'.. Except that it was a press conference I think he would have given the reporter a serve.
There's a time and a place, and that's not the place... Bolton locked that one away...works both ways

Go you good things

I liked his response, told him to be careful.
Forceful, direct and strong without losing control.

I am so effing sick of it. Good trying efforts and woeful execution.

Just year after year of excuses whilst other clubs progress.

Yet I really do blame the Malthouse era still.

Yup. It’s hard. And every loss makes it even harder.

Hopefully we’re in a better position than the 2013, 2 wins Demons, were.

We were far too good under the old system so the VFL/AFL built a system to stop us and then they tweak the new system to stop us more.
We are not so good at the new system.

I blame Dave Allison. Opened his mouth, then that dog OReilly. The player manager for Fraser Brown and Kouta, too.
