I was there way back when footy was quite new to the SCG

The members politely clapped the 100

Made me smile lol

I was in the Army at Victoria Barracks across thee road and went to the Swans games they had a couple of times a year. I was offered the chance to become a Swans member and probably would have done it except I knew I'd have to leave Sydney.
It took a long time for Sydney people to understand footy and it was mostly Victorian, SA ad WA expats in those early days.
They know about footy now.

Yeap, getting given players like Lockett, Roos and Buddy to ensure success and exposure surely helps

They know about footy now but most don’t know footy.

Just go to a Swans game and sit in the Swans’ Members (which I did for several years) and you’ll see what I mean.

Me too. I've never been to the SCG. What a time to go, huh?

I’m a Sydneysider so I know the ground well.

It’s a nice venue for footy from a viewing perspective because it’s small but it’s a stupid ground because it’s so short and the 50m arcs are barely 50m. I think there was a time they painted the 50m arcs at about 47m.

Food’s rubbish, eat at Entertainment Quarter before (and it’s expensive either way)

Great pastries at Black Star Pastry.

I will take your advice.

If you want something more substantial get Italian at Fratelli Fresh at the Entertainment Quarter. It’s good.

The members’ function is at the Woollahra Hotel which is about 2km and past the SCG away from the city so it’s a bit annoying to get to. Probably won’t bother.

The time to leave Mckay in is this game, so what he had a quiet game. Small ground, small defense, less exhaustion and can use his height, this is the game he should be playing.
Silvagni in as probably an inside mid, tight ground, against mature strong mids. Why include him in this game, let him play a few more in the ressies.
Don't agree but I hope he goes well.

I think it’s a punishment for pulling out of contests. That’s not on.

You might be right but he hasn't been the only one.
You make him aware of it and give him another shot.

He might be injured. More of our players get injured than dropped

With McKay out, any chance they are giving De Koning a run?

Number 4 could be made aware too - he might not be pulling out of contests per se, but some of his efforts reflect a very acute sense of hearing.

don't have a problem with Jack in for Harry - gives us more flexibility and support in the midfield

So will the other teams mentioned, can't see many wins there , what Liddle fails to mention is all the other teams will be fileding stronger teams too .

CC is a sweet tooth.

I dont like sitting on the lower levels of the pockets.
Impossible to see diagonally across to the other side.
Hence Ive booked reserved seating level 1 Members for an extra $13.

Actually don't like Members at SCG or the MCG.
SCG is monoculture. Swans and Swans supporters.
Bluebaggers still get out in force to show off their beautiful jumper.
MCG has a lot more diversity in supporters than the SCG, but still full of flogs.

The Wings are the best on this ground. Level 1, or 2. still close to action.

You're right about the old length of the ground and the 45m arc which was just short of the edge of the square.
I remember back in the day when Kerna was CHF. WE would win it in the centre and kick forwqard only to see the ball sailing over Kerna's head.

It is a rounder oval than the MCG.

Go Blues!!!!!!
