And one more thing
The town has a fascination with the Abletts
They get favored in Geelong

Thats whylittle Gazza was welcomed
Back with open arms when he [REDACTED] off
For the coin a few years ago

Chapman
Barrel
Both wanted to stay in their early30s sbut were moved on

Ablett is disloyal
Yet is welcomed back 34 years of age

Why
Because his surname is Ablett

I hope they miss the eight

Holy shit. There's a poster I haven't heard from for a long time.

Suddenly our loss last week to the Dees doesn’t seem so bad. They are very very good side.

Good intensity from what I could see.

Would have been good to see see one less tall... Especially with Radagaleah going down... I think we would have run them off their feet.... Anyway, one or two scores would have been the difference.

Still good effort, and great to see see improvements in the kids.

BTW Cripps is just incredible... Obviously, the commentators just worked it out and needed to tell us

Go Blues

The Ablett’s were a hawthorn group until Gary senior ran away from responsibility. He had no respect for his ex-cop coach and kept driving to training even though everyone knew he had no licence, I guess that sort of thing was no problem down at Geelong.

Dwayne called Ablett the best player of all time. He is not even the best player in his family .

Given our totally defensive tactics I thought Charlie Harry and Kerr did as well as could be expected. All 3 will be hard to handle when our tactics change.

Agree that the tactics of leaving our firward line free of players makes it hard to score and the perfect example was 8 minutes from the end : dow got the ball on wing got clear and only had fisher ahead of him and tuhoy beat him to it. We were eight points behind and charlie and kerr and mckay would have been handy.

Exactly.

I said it before and after Carlton game, the Dees were red hot.
Nathan Jones seaid so at midweek training.

Do the media retract their comments about, bottom side, Carlton's 100 point loss to Dees.
Crows lose plus 90 +.

Does that make Carlton a top 4 team? Top 8?

hate to be a broken record ... but there's too much a sample size here now to avoid. murphy needs to be put out to the leadership pasture and cripps' time is now. when murhphy is captain, the team follows him - into softness and unaccountability; when cripps is captain, they follow him and play with accountability and an edge.

I think I'm going to have call you on this one Braithy. I have no problem with you campaigning for Cripps to succeed Murphy as captain, but your comments about the latter are harsh to the point of being disrespectful. This guy has played 240 games for us and has taken one hell of a battering in the process. I think he deserves better.

2:37 - Not only does Meningitis push Rowes face into the ground two or three times he tops it off with a little boot to head. Should be in trouble for that, (but I suspect he won't be).

Agree with both of you.

Lets go with Kev.

Murphy deserves better, but he's not the future.
As to what he and the club decide what's best for he and theclub, I'll leave that to them work out.

Next Year: Captain Cripps, Deputy Docherty.
Unless they all agree to co captains.

Murphy's not much good to Carlton's next tilt for a flag imo.
But he has a huge role to play as an elder statesman and leader, like Thomas, and Simmo do today.

I saw that too and was enraged, he's lucky these players are so soft now because I would have punt kicked him to the F##### face next time he was in a pack.

How can the commentators who blow everything up, just simply dismiss this?
Why the f&$@ did Rowe not stand up for himself? Are our seniors really so soft?
I’m outraged seeing this and I haven’t seen the game yet.

I just watched it. Dunstall commented on it and asked why there was no free.
Disgraceful act. Nothing will happen to him.

Of course nothing will happen.
He plays for Geelong and not Carlton.
If Cripps had dine that, the media would’ve already gone into overdrive insisting on him being suspended. Imagine Cats supporting Whately and Carlton hater Robbo on 360 had Cripps been the one doing the dog act instead of the Geelong bloke.

Rowe got up and just went on with things. Like Thomas the week before. That’s tough. Lying on the ground whimpering is soft.

2 time he should ve punched the ball through for a point on the last line of defence, but instead allowed Hawkins to mark on the goal line. And another time he gave away a silly holding free, which Hawkins goaled from.
In a game where goals were few and far between, these were massive stuff ups by a senior player, and that's in a nutshell, why he frustrates fans so much.

Gerard Whately’s sphincter would’ve been pretty squeaky in that last quarter though, at the prospect of a Blues win. He won’t take back all the rubbish he spoke about us all last week, but our performance, particularly from the kids, is satisfying enough

I cant stand Whately now.
One of the best foxtel commentators is Jason Dunstall, he has a good footy brain.

You’re joking, right. The Chief is a flog

No standing up for yourself and making a statement that is not on, is tough. Running away accepting a dirty act tells the opposition you are weak and it’s ok for them to push you and your teammates around.....funny because the kids were flying the flag out there all night!!

Btw - I just watched the game and I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Rowe lost us this game. Needs to be dropped next week. We need to make sure everyone is now aware, that second and third efforts are the norm and half attempts aren’t tolerated. He was embarrasing in this game and as only one of a few rare senior players that is not good enough! Hopefully Marchbank is right to go!
