Well done Doc and Crippa. Well deserved. No need for a vote when the options are so obvious.

Why do we need to look to the past? Sure there's precedent but first time for everything at our club. Bring it on!

Good to see Crippa and Doc get the nod, hopefully this helps Murph get back to his best. I’d like to see Weitering and C Curnow step up into leadership positions next year.

i have no issue with it at all.

both are leaders on and off the field. in years gone by we have lamenteted the lack of real quality leaders ... now we have 2 outstanding options.

i thought Marc was excellent in his speech as well. I really hope he flourishes without the extra responsbility associated.

Marc as an outside midfield, for us, will be a gun.

It's good to have guys who that you get the feeling demanded the role, rather than being lumped with it because there were no other options.

Personally I don't think we've had this since Braddles (or maybe SOS' brief captaincy stint).

I have a lot of respect for Murphy but compare both players at the B and F. Cripps has so much more natural leadership and aura about him. The way he talks, his body language and his overall demeanor reminds of Kernahan. He just has IT.

Murphy doesn't. It is very rare though.

I must say, even though I am happy for both Doc and Crippa. I'm still not a fan of dual captaincy. I just hope Doc has a break out season to prove his nod for a cap, because we all know Crippa will.

Bit harsh on doc. All Australian in 17 and apparently his work this year being injured was nothing short of inspirational. He has broken out alright.

Thoroughly deserved by both. A huge win for us.

Duel captain's at this stage of our club is perfect.
The more leaders we have in the battlefield the faster our development.
Credit where it's due to Marc Murphy you were our captain through our darkest hours and now our leader and champion to our destiny.
You are Carlton Murph and we Love you for it.

Yeah, I don't see the issue with dual captaincy myself. They both represent the club to outsiders and to the rest of the playing group. But they get to share/halve some of the pressure/media commitments. Win/win.

good luck chaps. I'm not sure how much influence captain have in general but I think CFC supporters will prefer you two as the face of the club.

Hopefully bring some personality to the role. Sorry Murph, your media work was very poor.
