My vote goes to Crippa but I’d be happy with Sam.

I think the captaincy would help lock Crippa in against what will definitely be a hard push from WCE and Freo to get him to go home.

I still think Doch (let Crippa cause havok without extra weight on his shoulders).

But this period of leading the club will take Cripps to a new level either way.

I’d be curious to revisit this thread after Doch gets back though.

Updated to allow both.

I’m sticking with Crippa

Love Doc but has to be Cripps.
Best Captain prospect since Kerna.

I always thought I would be a traditionalist on this - one captain and anything else is fluffy new age. But there is more to the role than on field. There is all the promo and gladhanding and behind the scenes stuff. I just think a dual captain is a better option to share the load.

Really, it's a pretty good @#$%&! problem to have though right?

for the first time in a long time, we actually have a couple real candidates.

that is the best scenario we have had for a very long time.

either will do it justice. for me its cripps, purely for the fact that he is on the ball. Cripps has got better as a player and a leader every game he has been in the role. Its scary to think how good he could become.

there is zero negative reflection on Doc, as i think he would do just as good as job as well.

I've always wanted Cripps to lead this club and these past few weeks have left me with no doubts

Leads by example and able to motivate team mates... Flies the flag... Handles himself very well in the media

Cripps and Doherty..............both highly regarded and respected by teammates..................but you need more than that.Ya gotta be highly regarded, respected and FEARED by your opponents. And that is Cripps.

Always wanted Docherty to be captain but Cripps has been everything you’d want in a captain the last few weeks so more than happy for him to take the job now.

And I mean now.

Crippa has shown that the more pressure he has on his shoulders the better he becomes. He can handle the pressure which is why he should be captain.

Docherty would be a Maxwell type captain
Cripps is a Selwood type captain

I see where you’re going but Maxwell could be a bit of a knob at times.

And Cripps doesn’t bend the rules to get freebies.

Both these guys are more impressive than the other two.
