I have been unimpressed with Wonderboy Steve Hocking thus far, and this reinforces my opinion.
Seriously, how do these guys make you wish for Adrian Anderson back?

Very convenient that May's decision won't be appealed even though his contact was deliberate and forceful. Made contact with the umpire intentionally to make his point on his position and circumstance.
The afl giveth the afl taketh away.

The AFL sent through May’s travel pack and Visa to China at the same time.

As much as I hate Essendon**** I hope no players sledged Baguley about the birth mark on his face.
I have a friend who has one on her face and I know what she had to put up with over many years.

Yeah, face-ism is bad.

Both Baguley and Lamb are douche bags for sledging - but for Mark Robinson to try and equate a lifetimes abuse about a persons birthmark with someone’s lifetime of hurt at their father being murdered is just laughable.

No way ! a birthmark,a lisp,a stutter........i know people in this boat who have been unmercifully taunted all there lives.Cruelty beyond belief for mine...................and besides,Carlton supporters squealing is plain hypocritical..We have had some of the toughest cookies of all time meeting it out to all and sundry and we lapped it up...............think " Big Nick ",Bugsy Comben,Jimmy Buckley etc etc.......................Nah,sorry Agro,I'm old school.

There are no official guidelines about what you can or cannot sledge about (apart from racial villification)
And besides...everybody who sledges has a different tolerance level
So, bottom line is if you sledge, you can't have caveats about what you'll accept or not accept in return
Both players are flower. Move on

I didn't even realise the mofo had a birth mark until it was pointed out...

Many years ago I was standing in the back of a tracked load carrier while a Chinook helicopter lowered itself down to pick a 500 gallon bladder of petrol on the external hook.
Standing next to me was a man who thought the Chinook was getting too close to his head so he deliberately or reflexively reached up to push it away. It weighed about 10,000 kg.

If the umpire walks in to the melee close to Charlie and Charlie thought he was going to be contacted by the umpire, he puts his hand out deliberately or reflexively to ward the danger off.....

The moral?

Keep away from the players. You have no right to touch them any more than they do to touch you. They are withing their rights to maintain a personal space.

Exactly.

And ... the AFL should forfeit the fines if they lose the appeal.

Ok, so into the game...I hope this week has made the boys @#$%&! angry and galvanised them as a group. I want them to be the instrument of our anger and wipe the smug smiles off the faces of our opposition and da meedya.

1) Dees do well against teams they think they can push around. Their recent wins have all been against soft opposition (* / St Kilda / GC). It’s no surprise how they shit their pants anytime they’re playing finals contenders. Nonetheless, they’ll view us the same way and weak pricks like Lewis, Oliver etc will try and push us around. Pressure is key. Show them you won’t back down and give it back. Bring finals intensity and watch them piss their pants.

2) Charlie Curnow needs to use this BS week to fuel his performance. He needs to be focused, but still ready to @#$%&! shit up.

3) Brendan Bolton needs to instil “us vs them” into this team. All these pricks want you to fail, so wtf are you going to do about it?

4) Cripps leads the team out, even if Murph is fit.

I hope Lewis breaks his jaw on an umpire's elbow.

No, no, Jordy, you can't touch the umps.
