Went to the game. If we lose Cripps I will give away footy. Why do we continue to kick the ball sideways and turn it over? We can't hit a handball target from 5 metres away. At least I don't have to go next week, I will just watch it on TV. Seeing Gibbs, Jacobs and Betts destroy us is going to be awesome. |

Kennedy couldn't turn and accelerate. I hope it was because he was not right. Would like to see his round 1 form again. A FA or two and an extra preseason, add Docherty, Murph should help Cripps. Kennedy is the one recruited to help him out, playing as a bull who wins his own ball. Kennedy was a liability tonight, from the get go. Rest him. |

Quote: Cunningham, Garlett and LeBois for Mullet, OShea and SOJ. I agree with that. However, more likely we'll get: Quote: Bolton: I’m really hopeful on Kreuzer and Weitering being available next week.

Pickett and Garlett are our speedstars missing, Murphy goes OK, he's quick too. |

That was horrible. How can so many players be so lacking in basic skills. Too many players going backwards. Stodgy game plan.... backwards sideways over and again followed by schoolkids style turnover. Thomas running thru middle in last, instead of kicking on left he tries a cute banana pass to two dogs. Never try to kick it long to a forwards advantage. We are miles away. Unwatchable. If Kennedy is fit then he is the slowest player I've ever seen. If he is not fit why do we keep picking him. We are a rabble and have gone backwards. Plowman SPS Silvagni weitering have all gone backwards. Hard to see us winning anything. Felt like a ten goal loss. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Etihad you need speed Dogs had 4 tall Rowe or Jones out for Shaw Jack for LeBois O’Shea for cuningham Garlett for plowman Garlett Wright lebois all forward With Levi Harry Charlie Only tall dog forward was Boyd. Could actually have given him to Marchbank Didn’t know he was going to have a shocker I know Garlett didn’t deserve to stsy and Rowe or Jones didn’t deserve to get dropped buy you have to set the team with the best chance to win It’s horses for courses |

Had the lowest time on ground of any Carlton player but was still equal first on the ground for pressure acts with 25 and second among Carlton players for tackles with 8. Provided a lot of the grunt which helped Cripps be as dominant as he was. |

Mullet is like the ghost of Princes park. I get that he is playing a defensive role but you never see him, even with that ridiculous tatt. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk |

Did Bolton mention at the press conference that we may get Kruezer and Weitering back next week? Great, that's all we need, another ruckman and another tall defender. Where are the mids????? I know the cupboard is bare but Garlett, Cunningham and maybe even Polson should have played. As stated in the pre game thread the team selection didn't seem to have the right balance, lacked pace and to many talls. Plowman, Rowe, Jones and Marchbank not much pace there. McKay, Silvagni, Casboult and Wright not much pressure or pace to lock the ball in. Basic skill level is embarrassing, twice our tall backs spoiled each other - comedy stuff really. Crap style of footy, we work so hard for our goals, it's more random than set play. Despite all of the above we lost by 21 points. |

i get that we're rebuilding, but this is farcical stuff. a big step backwards from last year's application, commitment and execution. at some point as we continue this trajectory (we've opened the season on 0-6), accountability for the drop off must be taken by someone at the club, yeah? Bolton clearly isn't going to take any. his pressers are all rinse and repeat, "green shoots, first proper rebuild, kids take time,". what about the fact we've taken a big step back from last year, and there are multiple players on our list who have personally taken big steps back from last year and their rookie seasons? so the board? line coaches getting the chop? scouts? development team? the lack of leadership & silence from the board is stunning, but expected. who is on our matchday committee and at the selection table? i propose if anyone on it has been there for 2 years or more they get removed. they are so out of touch with modern footy. our list is crap and way under the level, but it's also too slow and too tall. at least bring in crap smaller players with run and chop out our crap bigger players to add some balance. and this problem has been prevalent since the phillips and kruezer in the same squad days. rowe plowman marchbank & jones is a calamitous backline. no run or disposal to get us out of trouble, and not quick enough to have any bearing on defence once they're dragged upfield and turned around. Oshea and Mullet are not afl standard, and don't have the tools to ever be. Then we have Mckay, Cas and phiilips which is one tall too many. for ruck & the resting forward role. Swap one with the closest thing to a small forward we have at the club. Silvagni is the elephant in the room. so much hype was made of him entering the league, now that he's been shown to be plum average with no x factor – of which forwards his size in the modern game need an abundance of – what do we do with him? 6 rounds in, we haven't won and he's standing as possibly our biggest passenger so far. this is going to be our longest and hardest season in 151 of them. and at some point there needs to be some accountibility within the club for taking a considerable step backwards from last season. bcos right now we're not building, we're sliding. |

The backline functioned well last year with Dale Amos coaching. I understand we've lost Docherty but perhaps returning Amos to backline coach may return a bit of stability. I'd like to know what Barkers influence is as "strategy" coach. Some of our strategies this season have been questionable. Let's hope some players stand up for the NB's today. A good game from LeBois, Cuningham and Lang would be handy. |

All of the above The Magoos didn’t play last week Which doesn’t help but why not play Cunningham and Give Le Bois a run The selection process continues to mystify me Kennedy and Marchbank clearly shouldn’t of played I got the feeling Bolton is a good people person but lacks footy Nouse |

In hindsight we didn't gain anything this week by dropping Garlett and Lamb for those two. Agree with that. Maybe we didn't gain anything on the field this week but we reinforced the usual coaching messages to the dropped players that more is expected of them in the ones. Standard stuff but important. |

When your teams book ends are Levi and Liam There is your starting point for your problems. Both football players with no footy smarts whose bad errors far out way their good stuff. And the club has kept them It says everything about where we are at. The rest of the players with the exception of Cripps are all gunners. That is their all gunner be good Lord help us As Clarko said some clubs play their Grand Final in November. Carlton are November champions Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

Kicked it sideways once in the middle when we really needed him to move it quickly to one on ones in the F50. Missed a couple of easy handballs / 5 meters away. He is amazing and the above is not a negative on an amazing game from him. It's to point out that we have a lot of kids in their first 1, 2 or 3rd years. We have to allow them a few mistakes. |

First time in the club's history they have a 0-6 start. History in the making. Has he not turned up for the press conference? I am sure he would have as he is contractually obliged to do so by the AFL. What I meant was that, I was wondering if he would be at the press conference treating it as light (or seemingly so) as he did a couple of weeks ago, when he made light of our situation by citing excuses and cliches. |

Casboult had: 10 possessions. 5 contested!!! 6 marks. 6 score involvements (we only had 19 scores total! So he's been involved in 30% of our scores!!) ) Kicked 2.3 with one perfect set shot and one that missed by a cm. Two perfect leads that weren't honoured which would have been shots for 30m out in front. What did he do wrong? |
