There's certainly some spots up for grabs this week. I thought O'Shea played by far his best game for the club - bit like talking of Jack the Ripper's least gruesome murder, I admit - and probably keeps his spot. Could make a case for dropping any of him, Marchbank, Rowe, Plowman, Wright, Phillips (if Kreuzer comes up,) SPS, Mullett, O'Brien and JSOS. Only 10 there and obviously there is likely to be less than half that number of changes. Let's see who puts their hand up in the magoos, but if you've been knocking on the door like Le Bois and Shaw, up and down like Cuningham, Garlett, Polson or Lamb, coming back from inury like Lang or just on the fringes like Macreadie today is the time to put in a big one.

If I wanted a date for my wife to go into labour, this game is it.

They are missing some quality players and I think the crows will rest a few sore players to but we will still get done by 80 points

At the start of the season I thought we might be 2-4 and was even hopeful of 4-2 by this point.

The AFL should be $h1tting themselves, 2 teams that are realistic chances of going through the season with 1 or 2 wins. It shows how the whole rebuild to success is a bloody mess

I expect Bryce will be emotional about this game, but as usual he will disguise his emotions, which will lead to the usual whingeing about how he doesn't care about us, chooses when to go, blah blah blah.

For team balance, maybe (though several others should be ahead of him in the queue for the chop). But O'Brien? That makes no sense to me.

Hoping the A-League GF is on Saturday... hopefully with Victory playing and that's where I'll be.

Don't agree with Plowman but I like your thinking. Make Garlett accountable for someone...maybe he can be the next Yarran

They’re good ins and outs.

I still had last year’s match against the swans on Foxtel storage and will delete now as I have rewatched it just then.

Key points- Carlton won this match without Silvagni (injured early) and without Gibbs or Murphy having big games. Structurally I thought this was an insightful match. I also realised they didn’t need Gibbs and Murphy to win.

Confidence building moments:
That came from Wright’s two or three goals 3rd quarter. It is surprising they don’t isolate him more as a target. He had a few more goal assists too.

Surprising point: weitering was in forward line and got 2 or 3 goal assists. That should be his aim- assisting if he is in the forward line.

Kreuzer was effective last quarter playing out of goal square taking marks.

Simpson and Ed curnow had a big match. They are leaders that have to lead.

So in relation to this week, I think your ins and outs are good but if Weitering and Kreuzer are fit .. bring them in and play them in forward line for sections of the match.
