We should be ultra competitive against this mob... (Essendon*, Melbourne and St Kilda too). Mind you, I thought the same with Gold Coast...

Interested to see what the MC does if Kreuzer is fit to play this week.

Playing Kreuzer, Phillips, Casboult and McKay in the same side is at least one tall too many.

There are sound arguments for all four individually.

My guess is Phillips will be the one to make way. I think this would be a mistake but what would I know.

Shame Phillips was injured for most of last season or it would have been sorted then.

The ruck / tall forward combination issue has been a major structural problem for us for a long time.

Fixing it is going to require looking beyond reputations.

The Kreuzer, Phillips, Casboult, McKay conundrum has been outlined above. Probably just a Kreuzer vs Phillips question that tips in Kreuzer's favour if he is 100%. I'd prefer to give him one more weeks rest considering Phillips contribution last week.

Ditto Jacob. One more week (sideline or twos) to think things over and set himself for the rest of the season in the ones.

Cunningham and Marchbank in for O'Shea and Mullet.

A question though confronts the MC re Bam Bam. Kerridge, LOB and Dow all did enough to hold their spots in my opinion. Our other midfielders are all auto starts. So does a fit Bam Bam come in?

You just don’t play Kreuzer this week. The fact he is carrying an injury through the season, Phillips should be first choice until Kreuzer proves he is 100% again.

You know what? I’m tipping us to win this.

Although I don’t know if I genuinely believe we will, or I’m just terrified of what happens here if we don’t.

I feel the Kangaroos game has taken any confidence most supporters had towards this year out of them. I wouldn’t be terrified about anything further this year.
The club knows exactly where it’s at.....

From CFC account

Coach Brendon Bolton spoke to the media moments ago, confirming Matthew Kennedy and Caleb Marchbank will return against the Dogs tomorrow night. Matthew Kreuzer (groin) and Jacob Weitering (quad) won't play.

Video replay to come shortly.

#BoundByBlue

Kennedy and Marchbank back in. Hope it's the right call.

Would like to see this. We have too many one dimentional flankers and need to increase our midfield rotations from the flanks/wings to better run out games

Rowe at FB, Jones and Marchbank intercepting off HB - where they are at their best.
Speed and delivery skills on the wings from Fish and Cunners
Casboult leading up the ground to link up and contest around CHF
Mc Kay leading out of square or bring to ground with Wright, Garlett and LeBois front and square and adding forward line pressure.
Charlie roaming and causing headaches on 3rd defender.
Ed, Kennedy, Cripps, SPS, Dow, Kerridge, Fisher, Cunnigham, Thomas, Charlie rotating through the middle.
Give LeBois a run to see if he can spark something at ground level around goals and lay some tackles in the fwd 50.

B: Simmo Rowe Plowman
HB: Marchbank Jones LOB
C: Fisher Cripps Cunningham
HF: C Curnow Casboult Garlett
F: Wright MCkay LeBois

R: Phillips E Curnow, Kennedy

Inter: Dow, Thomas, SPS, Kerridge

Out Lamb, Mullett, OShea, JSOS
In Kennedy, Marchbank, LeBois, Cunningham

Lamb?

I'd also bring Cuningham back in for Garlett.

Hate 'Friday night football' with all the crap Ch7 pile onto it. The less Ch7 games the better IMHO.

It's a start, prefer we did something like i suggested than us asking why we get flogged in the middle when the 5 players capable of playing there get tired and switch off for the junk time goals to commence.

Another poor game from Wright and he may make way for Le Bois. Has had 3 quiet ones this year, 1 preseason though.

Marchbank back already? I was expecting to have him out for another 2 weeks at least.

this.

a 100% healthy kruez is a force. an 80% fit Kruez, not so much. play phillips until krueuz is totally right. abductors take around 6 weeks. if philips is healthy, play him, it's why we got him in.
