- Phillips in for Kruez to give him a proper rest
- O'shea out, Rowe in and play Jones up the ground, if not up forward and let JSOS play defensive mid
- Graham out, Kerridge in for more chop out for the younger ones
- Give Weits a break and bring in Kerr

I went to a Carlton v PA game at the MCG during the Pagan years. It was a Sunday I think. Cold and wet. I think the crowd was under 10,000 (going from memory). It's the worst crowd I've ever been to involving Carlton at the MCG.

I'm tipping we might give that a shake on Saturday.

I think you re talking about a game vs Freo in about 2006 when Pav kicked a massive bag and we got thrashed. The crowd was just over 16.000.
Don't think we'll go that low, as we ve got double the paid up members we had in those days. Even I'm 2015 when we were stinking it up, we never got crowds at the G that low.

It was definetley versus PA. I can recall sitting on the fence and yelling out at McGrath when he spilt an easy mark with token pressure from Cornes. It was that quiet he actually looked at me!

If there were 16,000 there that day then I'll go he.

Shuey is not playing - so instead of a 10 goal loss, it'll be an 8 goal loss.

Thought the same thing... Poor Northern Blues would have been playing with 16

I dont think we're doing Dow any favours at the moment. Throw him back and give him a simple job. It worked well for McGrath last year and I cant see it hurting Paddy.
LeBois and Garlett in the front half. A bit of zip, defensive pressure and kicking class inside the 50. Lamb was very good in the VFL and his pace actually surprised me a couple of times. Graham should stay in but spend time in the midfield rotation instead of Dow.
Rest Kreuzer.
Cuningham is looking a bit more comfortable. Ideally I'd like to leave him back but we need his pace and kicking around the stoppages.

That's the way I'd like to see them go as well BV - Is LeBois fit though, there was talk of a hammy late in the game last SUnday.

Also as much as I'd like them to I can't see them resting Kruez

Reckon we'll go a lot better this week, even with our casualty list.

To be fair I'd hate to think we could go much worse....... :yikes:

West Coast are flakey AF, especially at the MCG. The worst thing we could do is drop our heads after last week & go in underconfident. Hopefully the coaching staff get them up.

We were terrible in Tassie but I think we're a show this week

Some good reviews in the reserves reports.

Phillips, McKay, Polson, Shaw, Kerridge

After last year, it is obvious, OBVIOUS Kreuzer is not fit. Rather than 'manage' him, rest him and bring Philips in. BOG for Northern last week.

Polson had 8 tackles in the ressies last week. Probably more than the firsts combined. And he has pace.

Plus try either Kerr or McKay. Take the plunge with SOJ and drop him, again..

Schumacher also showed signs in the ressies.

Another 2 first year players. Am I throwing the lambs to the wolves or do we need to stand up?

How far is young Angus from playing? Seems to be going under the radar, but picking up a good possession count and great disposal.

He looks quite good but quite a few of those possessions were playing on from point kick ins.

They should rest Kreuzer. If he plays Natanui will jump all over him anyway so we lose nothing.

I tend to agree with you about Kreuz, but i reckon they’ll play him, they’ll go into survival mode and won’t want to risk another smashing.
