I can't see why we would drop our only multiple goal kicker this year.
Delivery to our forward line let alone to our focal point was ordinary.

All things being equal, Eagles by at least 60 points.

Is that the same Lang who hasn't played one minute of football this year and will probably play less than a half next week?

How I learnt to stop worrying and love the draft (again).

I’m more concerned that those changes would see us playing with 23 next week.

Can't see us making many changes due to injury.

Polson looked good in patches in the 2s. Reminds me of Carrazzo, I'm guessing that's why supporters don't like him

Would really like to see McKay playing from the square leading up the corridor.

What can the coach do? He cant draft in players after 4 rounds. :?
Its a list problem, not a coaching issue.
We are getting smashed at ground balls. We are winning centre stoppages but around the ground where more numbers get to the ball, we are getting killed. The opposition have realised if they stop Cripps getting his hands on the ball, we have very little else. They just double team him and its game over.
Everything else is secondary. Forward structures, defensive personnel. If we cant get our hands on the pill, we're reactive in every other area.
I'll be interested to see how the coaches manipulate the situation. Personally, I think our only answer is to push all our forwards up to every contest and leave a runner (Garlett?) as our deepest forward and kick to space. Flood every contest and tackle the opposition when they get it outside.

Yep.

And it could be worse than that if Nic Nat close to playing 4/4 and Kruez is still lame. If we don't pick Phillips for centre bounces we'll have to concede the tap every time as Nat puts the ball wherever he likes. We'll also have to put someone in his way defensive side as well and it can't be no Dow, SPS, Murph or Fish etc becasue Nic Nat has come back about 7 kg's heavier and he hasn't slowed down. He's a beast.

Our forward entry numbers have been ok haven’t they ?

Just need to have a few forward target area options

It seems to me like Jones’ 2nd coming has just about come and gone.
I’d give him until Marchbank is right.
When Marchbank comes back, all things remaining as they are, I feel like we need to back him and Weitering to be our two KDPs with Plowman and our fleet of half backers...

I haven’t checked the stats but i reckon that even when Jones was playing really well last year, we mostly lost. And now that he is exceeding his brief (I suspect) and losing, we’re highly exposed in defence. And our rebounds out are more laboured, hence the terrible hit rates from forward entries.

Obviously, that is not the only problem but I can’t help feel that we’ll be better balanced with just the 2 key tall backs (+ Plowman). And Weitering will be more effective too.

Rowe for Jones, not just from a form perspective, but allow Weitering a bit more leeway to be the one who zones off more often. Beyond that, I couldn't care less.

Apparently, but that was the first few of weeks.
We need less forwards (or what i like to call yo yos) to score more.

Agree Rowe for Jones and at least he will play one on one. Apart from that it's time to get games into McKay.
