A morbid topic, but like the Brad Moran, here’s another one-stop shop for one of those things that has us tearing our hair out weekly.

Dating back to losing Kouta and Bradley in the opening minutes against a rampant (and likely doped up) Scum in 2000, losing players we can least afford to early on is something we’ve become all too used to over a long time.

So let’s keep track of our early limpers to see how this year rates, and speculate over which utterly crucial player will hobble off minutes into this week’s game.

Hopefully there be a few zeroes on this, but given how we lost Doch, and our first few rounds, this year could be nasty. But if nothing else we can see in full view just how badly this flowers us over year after year.

Round 1: Kreuzer, Kennedy
Round 2: Byrne
Round 3: Marchbank
Round 4: Murphy
Round 5: No-one
Round 6: Kreuzer
Round 7: Marchbank, Curnow
Round 8: Lebois
Round 9: Kennedy
Round 10: Macreadie
Round 11: Williamson
Round 12: No-one
Round 13: A Silvagni
Round 14: Casboult, Plowman, Kreuzer
Round 15: No-one
Round 16: Simpson, Philips (Marchbank and Weitering late)
Round 17: Kreuzer (AGAIN!!!)
Round 18: Fisher, Jones, Kerr, Le Bois (VFL)
Round 19: No-one
Round 20: J Silvagni
Round 21: Kreuzer (AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!)

You can probably pencil in Kreuzer for at least five or six of those weeks now..

Melbourne game for Cripps imo. They mark it in their calendars each year.

Given that Marchbank is out for a month we’re now odds on to lose a defender in the first quarter.

Weitering.

I'd prefer we lose Weitering in the warmup TBQH

I'm going with Garlett.

I have a feeling we'll see Kennedy on this list quite a lot; he's in a high-impact role and has been hurt a fair bit already.

Weitering won't get hurt until he finds form, so he's out of contention for the next few weeks at least.

It has to be a defender, and it has to be one we're excited and optimistic about.

Round 4: Cuningham.
