Couldn't see Lamb holding his place not that he was alone last week.

win - well that was expected, it was only a young inexperienced Carlton team
lose - ...sit back...relax and enjoy the show

Exactly - was saying this to a filth supporting friend today.
The pressure level on Buckley is already very high, considering its only round 3.

The fact that DeGoey and Elliott require VFL time this weekend really plays against them.

If Kreuz and Kennedy come in fit, then we are a pretty good chance.
But the bookies will probably still be factoring in a 15 point win to the Pies.

This would be a big statement by Bolts and the boys if they can bounce back and get a Win on the board.

Go blues!

The big boys are back!

That sums up the changes to Collingwood’s team ahead of Friday night’s huge clash with Carlton at the MCG.

Mason Cox returns after serving a one-match suspension, while Ben Reid has also been included in the side after recovering from the sore hip that was caused by a collision with Cox during the round one loss to Hawthorn.

Cox and Reid have both been named in the forward line and will be looking to add some presence up there.

Tim Broomhead goes out of the team after suffering a season-ending broken leg in the round two loss to Greater Western Sydney.

An injury has also sidelined key position player Darcy Moore. He will be sidelined for up to a month by a hamstring problem.

The emergencies are Jarryd Blair, Chris Mayne, Alex Fasolo and Brody Mihocek.

All four have been named in Collingwood's VFL team to play the Northern Blues at Preston City Oval from 2pm on Saturday.

Mayne has recovered from the quad injury that saw him withdraw from the AFL emergency list and the VFL team last weekend.

Right decision with O'Shea. Stoked to see Kreuzer and Kennedy back in. I like the team.

If Collingwood had any brains they’d rush Blair and Fasolo straight back in against us.

If we had any brains we would go a bit taller forward and stretch them....

Why Casboult? Asked to play as something that he's not. Weitering just needs a crack at one position

People still asking for poor Casboult's head. For two JLT games and round one we actually had a functioning forward line able to kick a score. This week we took Bolt out of the forwardline and our ability to score was poor. It's of course never just one thing but it was part of it. He is more important to our structures than people acknowledge imo.

If Kennedy isn’t fit then put Jack in for O’Shea. Jack gives 100% every week like O’Shea but unlike O’Shea can actually kick the ball.

If Kreuzer isn’t fit than put Phillips in as we need Casboult in the forward line

I think this week determines Jones immediate future.

If Cox kicks 4 on him, he needs to be dropped.

Lamb lucky.

Jones worked well in a coordinated back line last year. This year have not performed well as a unit, staying off their men, trying to cover extra ground, playing a long way in front leaving them more vulnerable to turnovers and the ball is coming in faster and with less pressure on the carrier. Firstly we need to address the groups structure and diligence before we start questioning individual back men. Again we might get lucky with lowly teams but the better skilled, or even average skilled teams will find it easy picking holes in our defenses.

Forget the modern way, defend his man. That’s where Jones was great last year. Just let him be a stopper and he will excel again.

He has no footy IQ to play a loose role, or ahead of his opponent.
