Unfortunately injuries and now selections are going to hurt us.

I still expect Gold Coast to run out of legs pretty early after last week.

Does O'Shea in and Silvagni out mean Weiters goes forward?

I kind of hope Kreuzer doesn’t play.
The groin injuries tend to linger and footy clubs tend to put players on the park and they never quite recover for the year.
If it is indeed minor, then let him rest it for 2-3 weeks and get him back genuinely fit, not just fighting his way through but managing the injury for the rest of the year.

Agree. Casbolt not the worst in the ruck.

Last thing we want is Krueze not being right for next month or more due to us rushing him back

McKay coming in as emergency in place of TDK leads me to suspect Kreuzer has pulled up sore.

He'll be required to play on one of their tall forwards I reckon, probably Day.

I'd say we'll have a smaller, faster forward line this week with just the two talls and more forward pressure.

With Casboult as no.1 ruck, god help us, we will only have Charlie and Mac as key forwards. GC defenders will have a picnic unless we throw a Weitering up there as well. Thomas is a liability no matter where we play him. We will need an Easter miracle ......

don't you dare say anything about our flower, he is nothing but an inspirational leader and warrior
we are lucky to have wrenched him from our arch nemesis clutches thanks to the ever so tight and unwavering (but objective) relationship with our previous balanced and self-sacrificing predecessor

Get the feeling we’ll win this easily ...

Mullett will play either defensive fwd with a booming and accurate kick to replace SOSOS or go back to add pace to the backline with Weitering/Marchbank to help up fwd

Cunningham may rotate with CO'S mid/running hb

Selections are fine. No need to panic. Just need to bring our A (mental) game and we should win

Kreuz “being given every opportunity to be fit”.

He’s gone...

We’re stuffed. No advantage from last week’s wet game in Cairns. No Kreuzer. No Ablett.

It didn’t seem to effect NM today. And GC have an extra day to recover. I don’t think it will be a factor this early in the season.
