Good second half after a terrible first. Should not have let them have that last shot though. Need to close it down better than that.

Is it ok to feel like that was a poor win? Lots of good signs. Real stuff now.

As they say, the sign of a good side is one that plays badly and still wins.

That apply to JLT?...lol.

weitering appeared to do very well first game back.
Cas and Daisy stepped up
Marchbank and Kennedy good
Cripps fantastic.
Murph appeared to have a good 3rd quarter.
Fisher good start.
Charlie good start
Pickett some good bits

Harry?? is it worth the extra tall?
Wish we had seen willo

Some questions - Mullet, Byrne, Lamb and cunningham - what is the verdict?

With Harry it was tonight after Kreuzer got injured. He had to ruck quite a bit.

Fair assessment. Cripps the star followed by an even performance by most like last week which is encouraging. Team effort.

Casboult did the job after Kruezer went down. Well done to him. Would usually give away multiple soft free kicks when put in the ruck like that but was composed. Not what I expect from Casboult.

Like last year, Murphy’s one or two mistakes really stand out.

Richmond’s pressure will be another step up next week. Can’t see us winning based on what I saw tonight. Excited to see what happens though.

Lots to like.
The kids were good. We got a better idea of our Round 1 side. Cuningham and Byrne will be our running defenders with Simmo IMO.
The forward line functioned quite well with Pickett supplying the X factor and pace required. Harry showed he still has a lot of learning required. I wouldn't have him in for round 1. Doesn't have a feel for the game yet but time is on his side. LOB is a long term project. Dow found it harder tonight but he's still easily in my best 22.
Kennedy is finding his feet still but I like him. Fish is in and out but I love his composure and his ability to put his team mates into space.
Credit to Daisy. He played some good footy. As for the captain tonight, he embarrassed himself a couple of times. He's still a quality player but not a leader.

The Tigers may well beat us reasonably but the signs are definitely there. The futures definitely looking bright.

Byrne's pace out of the backline was a standout early as was the acceleration of Pickett. Blues looked quicker overall. Great to have hardness of Kennedy around packs and Paddy Dow has great hands at ground level. umpires need to slap Roughhead with a 50m, he never shuts his mouth
