Wasn't the number 42 players gone in 3 years? Not sure how you can say it's not a rebuild.

No recruiter in history has got everything right, nor even got close. I'd love to see someone do a detailed analysis of the best recruiters, Wells' name often comes up but off the top of my head he's picked Lang and Smedts in the first round and was on record as saying he would have taken Troy Menzel with pick 1 if he had it that year.

Once you've gone at the draft as hard as we have for the last 3 years the crucial ingredient is time. Everyone loves to be first with their assessment, but improvement isn't linear. Tigers were seen as a rabble with a hopeless coach 3 months before they played one of the most dominant finals series we've seen.

He must have been really torn about whether he should give up those 3rd round picks for them all.

Our or more appropriately SOS’s obsession
with GWS has left us with a list that is short on talent

The combination of injuries and youth were partly
the reason we had our worst season in the clubs history

Personally I don’t rate
Plownan
Kennedy
Pickett
Marchbank
Phillips
As high as others
Already we can see the effects of these GWS rejects
on our list with a number of them being delisted
after contributing SFA to the sides”rebuild

On top of this we have recruited blokes who have been spared
the arse because we have already delisted close to ten players
And the premature retirement of the 2 Irish Boyd
Byrne is a big loss
That guy could play
We still have
Garlett
Jones
Lang in our list who arnt up to it

Giving Murphy a two year contract is ridiculous
given the guys output in recent years and he is 32 next year

Simpson along with Cripps our best player over the last 4 years
has only one year left

Personally I don’t rate Cuningham
Looks a million dollars when he has the pill but simply doesn’t
get it enough
Silvangi doesn’t have the physical tools to play the game at the highest level
He has been tried in every position gives it his all
but in my opinion falls short
Le Bois has done nothing in 2 years
Thomas and Casboult arnt going to get better
Kreuzer is about cooked

The list still has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese
and in my opinion like when the club sacked Ratten and appointed
The old Prick we have over rated the list

And yet bar Walsh we rule ourselves out of this draft
And a fair bit of 2019 draft giving up our second round pick
for Setterfield

I’m not ranting for the sake of it
It’s what I believe
To give up good picks in the draft IMO is the
wrong strategy

We simply don’t recruit as well as other clubs
And we don’t develop them as well as other clubs
Why we don’t have a stand alone VFL team
Despite all this time

We will be more competitive next year
with a better run with injuries
But I still think we could have done better with
Our trades and recruiting

You don’t seem to have any coherent strategy or plan to counter what we have done. What exactly would you do differently?

Less GWS players? Sure but who else are you getting in for the value we paid for them?

Don’t rate some of our draft picks? Not everyone is going to make it, that’s across the AFL in general. Can’t see how our recent strike rate is lower than anyone else from 15-18, if anything it’s pretty good.

We have gone from no youth prospects in 2015 apart from Cripps and Docherty to now having C Curnow, Weitering, McKay, Williamson, SPS, Setterfield, Marchbank, Plowman, Macreadie, Fisher, Dow, O’Brien and De Koning. Out of those 13 I’m confident at least 8 will be good AFL players.

If you want to argue the success of the rebuild, go for it. But to suggest the list recomposition isn't a rebuild is ridiculous. By my calculation, we retain 8 players from our list composition of 4 years ago. That would be the most comprehensive change to a list in my living memory.

Have to disagree with this. I would say we have had the biggest rebuild ever seen over the past 3 years. It’s not a reset!

Whatever you call it, you can’t say they aren’t trying trying to change things.

Regardless of anything Keogh is Synbad II.

Someone who is angry we aren’t the same club we were when they were growing up and will shoehorn any theory Into why we are still crap.

I’ll let everyone in on a secret - being good in the AFL isn’t easy and far harder than when we were dominant.

We have been slow to adapt and shit for a long time overall. SOS and bolts are trying to undo a lot of bad work done before them.

So Keogh you said patience wins in the end, so why don’t you show some <*]*]*{^}£{ patience?

While we don't have the greatest list yet, we do have a lot of potential growth and a darn good foundation/spine to continue building on.

To truly know what we have, we need another pre season into the kids and a good run with injuries. That will obviously allow players yo get some continuity alongside each eachother, only then can we get a better feel for what our list is capable of.

So how many spots are left on the primary list?

just 3 or is it 4?

Walsh, BSOS, Hickmott and a DFA?

Staff that remain from 2015:

Players: 9 of 40
Rookies: 0 of 8
Coaches: 1 of 8

You might not like the new building but you can't deny it was rebuilt.

There’s “built” and then there’s “gerrybuilt” - Keogh just wants a proper building inspection done, which is perfectly understandable.
