Can't get a game in the worst team in the competition...pick 74 sounds about right.

Imagine losing Lynch and replacing him with Levi...

Casboult for Hall. Straight swap.

Brilliant, brilliant.

Or Casboult and one or both of our 2nd rounders for pick #2.

The days of Casboult having any currency are gone. Unfortunately he's contracted through next year.

Desperation does funny things to a club, unfortunately we really understand this. Let's hope they don't yet.

I disagree. With the potential rule changes, his contested marking may be more valuable next year. And you know there's clubs that reckon that with decent delivery (something you could argue he's never had here) he can easily be a 30+ goal-scorer and handy back-up ruck option.

The counter argument is, of course, 'well if he's so good, why don't we keep him', but I reckon we're in a position to move on in 2019 - Curnow, McKay and DeKoning are the future. Casboult could very well be 'the now' for a club.

I don't see a club in that phase who would want him. Can't see him playing too much more senior footy. Decent career - but in any other Carlton era, he'd have played around 20 games.

A bit like Robert Dutton, who only managed 1 game with Carlton, in the mid 70’s.

Did he ever have currency
Offered himself up nearly every year and there were no takers

A bit skeptical of that rumour as I said it here 3 days ago as a possibility and they seem to have run without over there as if it is fact

If anyone thinks Liam Jones should be on an AFL list
They are dreaming
Yet he has been at Carlton for 4 years going into a fifth

The fitness recovery aspect needs looking at

Effort is shit
The main problem is SOS and our list management

We simply have replaced spuds with spuds

And now the club says it won’t make as many list changes because it needs
Stability and continuity
What is so good about Kennedy that makes a list manager recruit him twice
At pick 13 then pick 28 the next time
It is incredible that you would pick a guy with such
Little talent
Kennedy
Lamb
Jones
Rowe
Kerridge
Mullet
Lang
Garlett
O’Shea
Graham
Pickett
Shaw
Thomas
Lobbe
Shouldn’t be on any AFL list
Most of those blokes SOS recruited
Then it’s questionable whether these blokes
Are up to it
Plowman
Marchbank
Cunningham
Phillips
Wright
Silvangi

And
Kreuzer
Murphy
Simpson
Coming to the end

With so many players who are crap it’s
Unbelievable that
De Koning
Schumacher
Le Bois
Haven’t been given a game this year
When they have been available
With all this going on at the other end of the spectrum
O’Brien and Dow SPS have nearly played every game when they at times
Have needed to play a lower standard

We need to review every facet of how the club functions and injuries
Have played their part but all clubs have injuries GWS had
Shiel
Scully
Patton
Corr
Griffen
Taranto
Williams
Not to mention the 4 guys on the bench injured

Bottom line we recruit and trade badly
SOS and his team of merry men have [REDACTED] up

A priority pickwon’t fix anything

Get a decent recruiting team

Don’t care how it’s written
By the way pick 28 went to Sam Taylor
Who is already a rising star nominee

Fogarty looks ok for Geelong who was part
If the Touhy Marchbank trade
Smedts is gone
Pickett is ordinary
Marchbank is way below Tuohys level

Dumb trading
If you look at premierships teams they arnt full
Of top 20 picks
It’s also recognising talent and going far and beyond in finding
It
Our list management trading and recruiting is no better
Under SOS s watch
Get rid of him

Mate
You might think what I write is boring
But the Carlton Football Club has been part of my life for
Nearly 50 years
It matters to me
To see us ridiculed like that on Sunday
Is embarrassing
I watch every game from my couch in WA
I just hate seeing us be so shit

A priority prick is just a temporary band aid

And it won’t change until we have the right people
In the right jobs
If you think I’m boring go on some other site

So are 7 guys that Silvagni has drafted including 1 that you are criticising later in your post.

SOS’s recruitment has for most part been good IMO. Plenty of good young talent on the list.

The jury is still out on culture, development and coaching though with conflicting onfield evidence from my POV.

The main reason we are so shit
Not just shit
Really shit
Is we trade badly recruit badly

If you can’t run
Can’t kick
You can’t play AFL at the level required

Have a look at the way the game is played these days

The results speak for themselves

If we have a full list to choose from
Where still way down the ladder

How can anyone defend last Sunday’s performance

On a ground such as Etihad we have no chance

Everybody goes bananas when we beat the second worst team
With the ball resembling a cake of soap

It masks how far behind we are
On my post I didn’t even mention
Polson
Casboult

The result on Sunday says it all
