That's a terrible table to look at. No continuity there.

Kids highlighted.

They cant be expected to carry the team to the promised land so early in their career.

Last five years, 2014-2018:

Cotchin - 23, 22, 20, 25, 19*
Martin - 22, 23, 22, 25, 19*
Riewoldt - 23, 23, 22, 23, 20*
Rance - 18, 23, 20, 25, 20*

Amazing really.

Was going to do a comparison but can't even decide who our equivalent to Rance and Riewoldt should be.

Murphy - 20, 19, 10, 22, 11*
Cripps - 3, 20, 21, 15, 20*

There are currently 194 players accross all clubs unavailable for selection this week due to injuries.
Approximately 25% of all players.
Injuries and injury management is a big issue throughout the entire AFL.
It is not isolated to the Carlton Football Club

Absolutely fantastic news.

I hope the report is honest, and that the powers take it to heart.

Our fitness & health has been stuffed since 2012, and this year it has been diabolical.

I should be clear, I think our injury management is especially problematic.

Getting our health, injury and fitness regime in order is more important than a priority pick.

Interesting that our running or aerobic capacity isn't viewed as an issue. I guess we turn it over a heap with poor skills and end up chasing or having to work back hard a lot.

Good to see a review being done. In an even comp having your best players on the field each week is the difference at the moment. We need it for the players to be able to learn each others habits. Amazing watching how well Richmond players know what their team mates will do at each contest. The little taps to advantage that have come with playing together with incredible continuity.

Can someone explain why we have some many impact injuries compared to Richmond who seem to get through every single fricken game unscathed?

From Liddle’s latest

Quote:
The unprecedented spate of injuries prompted a complete review of our High Performance Department and we appointed Ernst and Young’s Graham Lowe to undertake this review in August. Graham has been a High Performance Manager across multiple sports and most recently, was the Western Bulldogs’ Head of Football in their Premiership year, giving him a solid understanding of the mechanics of a successful football department. In his expertise, Graham put forward a number of recommendations that we believe will comprehensively strengthen our High Performance department, all of which will be implemented immediately.

They’d @#$%&! better be!

Let's now see what they can do in both injury management and attracting players to the club with the extra million for the football department.
