Moreover it is 3 of our starting best backline out Doc Marchbank Plow let alone Williamson who probably is fourth plus no access to Silvagni Macreadie - exchange 3 of them for Rowe Mullett Daisy and things look very different particularly when March Plow and Doc all played in most if not all our 6 wins last year

Definitely a crap year for injuries. Hopefully an end of season review doesn't find a pattern.... Sh!t happens, have to make sure it doesn't happen repeatedly

Marchbank could get injured playing chess.

So next week doc Marchbank simmo plow silvagni Phillips Williamson macreadie and Weitering all our best backline players aren't playing

Surely Dow comes back
Surely H comes in

Perhaps we could have OShea back yippee to play against the Aints that's equivalent to giving 3 or 4 free kicks in their forward 50
Mullet will also be back
Hell where is Simon White when you need him

A bloke on BF has been tracking our injuries visually all year.

Last week's (no doubt more red to appear this week)

This is pretty damning.

Which names are that damning?
Seriously who would have made a massive difference and I'm not talking potential or who would have taken the next step.
Proven performer Doc, Marchbank, Murphy maybe Silvagni that’s it.
Some perspective please.

It's not the names, it's the amount of red, when it appears (particularly re-injuries), and how often.

Any wonder there's no cohesion in this team when it's entirely different most weeks.

I don't know the answer to this, but for years our players have been poorly developed physically and mentally (no other way to explain why our worst performances come against teams we should be a shot against). Our players look smaller, are timid, get ahead of themselves, and seem to break down very easily. This season in particular has been a flower.

If we don't sort this out, even the most genius list management or coaching can't save us.

Can't argue with that Don but I went through the list again and we can't blame injuries to key personnel for our pathetic season.
what i see is we have played the wrong style and players in wrong possies.

We'll agree to disagree there. I think it's one of the key foundations of our [REDACTED] season.

Collingwood and Carlton lead the AFL’s injury ladder, Richmond among clubs to avoid injury pain

JAMIE Elliott could return from a nine-week hamstring recovery on Thursday as the full extent of Collingwood’s injury toll is laid bare.

The Pies star is considered a strong likelihood of playing in an intraclub game at the Holden Centre as the second-placed Pies navigate a VFL bye.

Champion Data statistics show Collingwood and Carlton have both lost 156 games to injury this year — the most in the competition.

Shows how [REDACTED] over we've been, while making Collingwood's winning run all the more galling.

I do love how Collingwood is ranked "#1", and the article is mostly about how well they've done despite their injuries...no mention of how our injuries may have affected our [REDACTED] up season.

Richmond kissed on the dick, in a surprise to no-one.

.@CarltonFC lose Andrew Phillips for rest of year with tendon damage to hamstring. Marchbank to be monitored for rest of week but not ruled out as yet. Weitering and Simpson face fitness tests.
