any team can be unlucky with injuries......

BUT returning players too early to reinjure the original injury is not bad luck....it is BAD MANAGEMENT !

What is the count so far - Marchbank, Kennedy, Murphy, Willo ????

PLEASE EXPLAIN

Didn't the club invest in some fancy medical technology a few years ago that was supposed to speed up recovery time?
If my memory is correct and with the number of players that have been re-injured in first game back, I would be checking the warranty on the equipment.

Knowing our luck with injuries this year we’ll be flying to Sydney on Flight 609.

Levi Casboult – Rib – Test

Alex Silvagni – Achilles – Test

Cillian McDaid – Foot – Test

Caleb Marchbank – Ankle – 1-2 weeks

Matthew Kennedy – Ankle – 1 week

Kym Lebois – Collarbone – 1 week

Jarrod Pickett – Scaphoid – 1 week

Ciaran Byrne – Quad – 2 weeks

Harrison Macreadie – Hamstring – 2 weeks

Marc Murphy – Plantar Fascia - 2–3 weeks

Tom Williamson – Back – Season

Sam Docherty – Knee – Season

Looking at this, we can probably expect Casboult back into the seniors straight away v. Freo.
Silvagni will probably need a game or two in the seconds, so possibly the Port game?
You could same the same for Byrne, Pickett and Kennedy. A couple of weeks in the seconds before being considered.
Marchbank around the same time (assuming he goes straight into the seniors, otherwise it could be the rnd 16 trip to the Gabba).
You might expect Murphy back for the same game (assuming he doesn't rush it).

McDaid, Lebois and Macreadie into the VFL side in 3 weeks...

If we can somehow manage to avoid further injuries we might actually have some continuity and pressure for spots in the second-half of the year.

Can someone explain why Murphy wouldn't come back through the VFL? I mean, he has missed alot of footy, and a foot injury would mean that cardio would be difficult to keep on top of.

Well, he didn't come back through the VFL for the Melbourne game, & that seemed to work well

So barring any additional injuries and expecteing the current injuries to go as per schedule, in 2 weeks time we should have the entire list available minus Docherty and Willo.
