Correct...The PP is a low hanging fruit distraction

right now, we're on pace to be the worst team in afl history. we have around half a list of quality afl talent and only one bonafide A+ talent - cripps.

when there is a system in place with the afl to help teams like us, it's silly not to take advantage of it. taking a PP is not tanking and losing on purpose like we did to get kruezer. there is a big, big difference.

Really? Then why are we rebuilding from the draft?

So now drafting, culture and hard work are mutually exclusive?
Would you like to see it visually through a Venn Diagram

According to you, one, repeat one 18 y.o who we will speculate on in the draft and masqueraded as a priority pick will accelerate our rebuild by 3 years...That's gold Jerry...gold

Today and the last 22 games which we have won 2 shows how stupid it was to got out publically about priority pick

Whole club need to get smarter and better
Hawthorn Collingwood both got PP which contributed to them getting premierships

Our nuffies too pure we are so good we will work our way out of it earth to Carlton I was one of the 21000 there today and you stunk it up you didn't kick a goal in the first half
We are crap but to give so little effort and intensity diabolical
Only hope we ever get is on draft day so why would we look a gift horse in the mouth
Take the bloody PP and make off like bandits hopefully drafting a gun
Do you reckon when Melbourne got that ridiculous compensation pick for Frawley they said we won't take it
Get smart drip kicks or get out

Sure, I’m most interested as to where the PP would be in that diagram, pretty sure it would be in the high draft pick zone, intersecting right where hard work and good culture can be most effective.

may as well hand back the keys as we have no standards

premiership is worth nothing if not hard earned but gifted from daddy

IMHO the AFL would give us an end of first round PP like they did the Lions. With this in hand it would strengthen our position somewhat in the almost impossible task of extracting a very good contracted player and trading for him. We have salary space. The difficult part is selling “our vision” so that player will move.

We need to add class to our team no more O’Sheas Mullets Lambs Kerridges

Rexy did Hawthorn and Collingwood worry about standards when they gamed the priority pick

Let's be pure and not ask for assistance not sure whether you went today but I have been going for 54 years and am rusted on as a supporter but today was the first time I have been completely embarrassed to be a Carlton supporter we are at a low ebb we need help mate
Anything we can get we should grab with both hands
How many of those 21000 today really want to go back next week I don't want too I will of course but when you have your supporters boo you off at half time they need hope and help
The 21000 who were there quickly turned into 15000 as the game was over 10 mins into first quarter
Sorry but we need everything we can get and asap

We gamed it as well but it's got us nowhere

Carlton supporters need to harden up rather than wanting to go back to daddy for help

The 21000 there today did harden up Rexy most of them stayed to the bitter end after seeing complete ineptitude not just in terms of skills and decision making but effort and application

There were a lot of kids there today how many times do you think they will come back if they see that effort application and lack of being competitive

Mate we have already lost a generation of supporters because of our ineptitude for the past 20 years you are in danger of losing even the rusted on if they continue to perform like that
We need help simple as that and we should be grabbing it with both hands
Respect your opinion just don't agree
I'm worried that if we continue down the present path we won't rebound
I support strongly Bolton and need to keep him but surely we should help him to bring us back to being competitive

Sure just like:

Swans-cola
Cats-picking up free agents, multi million govt handouts
Hawks-Tassie deal, free agents, 2 years of PP tanking
Demons-AFL investment in footy dept and in exec positions
GWS & GC don’t get me started
