I too was happy with the update as I felt during the year we did not hear peep from him.

Pretty weak response to AFL giving us no priority pick and let's face it stuffed the discussion with priority picks in the first place

he and the President need to get a lot tougher in their language etc to the AFL

We have Kennett McGuire Clarkson Scott to name a few at other clubs who pull no punches and get their way but we have choir boys who acquiesce to the AFL and get ridden roughshod over
PATHETIC :banghead:

Shouting at the AFL wouldn't have resulted in a PP.
Get used to it.
When we finally get to #17, that's the time to shout and thank the AFL for trying to keep us weak.
The other clubs hate us with good reason. We were arrogant in winning and cheated to boot. Unfortunately for us we were the scapegoats and the other clubs have been too scared to systematically rort the cap since. They are now playing the 'holier than thou' game whilst rorting FA. That's OK but i hope they don't expect support from us when the time comes.
I just hope I'm still around to see it.

Yes Rexy we are all entitled particularly those who don't agree with you on the priority pick

Crap about lollipops
Agree with Doc Sherrin lollipops from Zig and Zag

This guy handled the priority pick ineptly and we criticise it and his meek response and so we are entitled yeah right attack the argument not the person

Was the priority pick ever a realistic gain... ?

All the talk from the club and AFL suggests it wasn't.

Not Liddle's fault the media talked it up so much and supporters climbed aboard.

Fact is we got what we applied for and expected.

If it makes you feel any better (doubtful), the club behind closed doors is filthy about this.

I know we'd all like the club to breathe fire and swear bloody revenge, but that would help no-one.

Yeah but what the f*ck are they doing about it?

We need a president and CEO who are filthy and go public, not sook in the dunny's. We should be suing the AFL for their lack of transparency, and their clear favoritism towards certain clubs.

You watch them grant PP's to other clubs in future, and simply say "we got it wrong. oh well".

I think a statement that acknowledges what we got but also says Carlton looks forward to the AFL applying the same criteria to all clubs in the future and that a club would need to have worse successive seasons to even be eligible to get it. Set it up for when the next club tries we are there saying we didn’t get it so neither should they.

We didn’t get it this time because other teams whinged. Well, make sure if they ever need a turn we get to tell them get [REDACTED].

You can not beat City Hall.
You can not beat City Hall!!

We of all teams should know that.

Sooking and complaining will achieve nothing except for the AFL to schedule a nightmare draw for us. Our CEO was right from the start, we don't need a PP, we will get better with the assets we have.

Gold Coast did not get a Priority Pick either, nor did Melbourne in 2012 (when they won 2 games).

The AFL should just purge it from the books completely.

I'm not talking about slamming them but if Kennett or Clarkson were in the position or McGuire they would be saying they are disappointed with the position and think our supporters are disappointed

Clarkson 2 days after saying Sydney back man hold or shepherding in the marking contest gets a meeting with Gil

Why isn't Sub Judice saying whilst we thank them for these measures however we dont think they go far enough and either will our supporter base or members

Why the hell wouldn't they say that do you reckon Kennett would have gone meekly and thanked them if he was filthy or the club was filthy about the decision

Why doesn't the footy director Judd come out and say even whilst club is happy with support he could understand why some of our supporters are not with these measures

Not too hard and shows a bit of steel instead of being supine

Gold Coast are in worse shape than us and they did not get it.

Priority Picks are dead; not a bad thing once we are back up the top of the ladder.

That’s why we should be issuing a statement saying as such. Kill off the PP unless a team has 5 successive years with less wins and percentage than us.

GC and Saints will be looking for PP next year. If we have pick 4 and that becomes 6 because of PP then that’s a problem. Club should be thinking about this type of thing now.

Alright Cain it's time for people power. Summon all Melbourne based Carlton supporters to block the entrances to the MCG on Saturday delaying the start of the game for as long as possible. That'll teach them a thing or two about messing us around.

Bulls### every other club uses the media to make a point. To embarrass the AFL and then benefit. Where has it got us; being so meek?

Come out and swing FFS Carlton! Show something! You have been made to look like fools by the media and AFL. The whole thing was a farce

There won't be any f###### supporters left soon. We are fed with copping the raw end.

Have people erased from their memory that we used to constantly stand up to the AFL and threaten/take legal action?

The end result? They bombed us back to the dark ages.
