Wouldn't it just be wonderful for us to win this?
*sigh*

We might...Richmond would be what, 4-6 weeks behind us in season prep? I think they only go back to training tomorrow so they'd be ripe for the taking early in the season.

I’m referencing his football playing deficiency.

Under 100 days to go!

From the Round 23 team we have five definite outs:
Armfield
Boekhorst
Docherty
Gibbs
Smedts

I figure we have three probable outs:
Graham
Kerridge
Lamb

We have four definite ins if fit:
Cripps
E Curnow
Plowman
Marchbank

So fitness pending, eight out four in meaning we have four of the following to choose from:

J Silvagni
A Silvagni
McKay
Kennedy
Lang
Mullett
Dow
O'Brien
Shaw
O'Shea
Garlett

Think it's time for McKay. I'd pick Kennedy and Lang. Mullett over Shaw or O'Shea at this stage. J Silvagni should be in instead of Thomas, but Thomas plays every week.

B: Williamson, Jones, Plowman
HB: Byrne, Weitering, Marchbank
C: Simpson, Cripps, E Curnow
HF: Thomas, C Curnow, Petrevski-Seton
F: Wright, Casboult, Pickett
FOL: Kreuzer, Kennedy, Murphy
INT: Mullett, Lang, McKay, Fisher
EMERG: J Silvagni, O'Shea, Garlett

Jack in for Casboult, shirley ?

Without Casboult there Rance would have a picnic and Charlie wouldn't be as effective.

Rance will have a picnic anyway if we don't have an effective forward 50 entry plan.

Jack has more footy smarts and skill than Levi.

Will we go in with the same game plan as 2017? Kick it to Rance?

Dow instead of Mullet!
Jack instead of Daisy

Completely different type of player. Jack can't play the power forward ruck role, even in his or your dreams. McKay alone won't be enough. Not sure Charlie is a CHF. He's more of a third or fourth tall/utility player.
We need Levi in the team with McKay, at least for a while until we see what McKay can do at this level on a consistent basis.

I'll quite enjoy seeing Richmond unfurl their premiership flag, unlike we endured against Collingwood when they won their last. It will be a great night for the Richmond faithful.

I've said it before, but no matter how painful it is, I want our players and supporters to look long and hard at that flag as it goes up (Hell, we should even applaud it). Not only should it make the blood boil and be a memory burned into their psyche, but not watching gives them the satisfaction of having got to us.

When #17 comes our way, I want our players to say that the turning point for them was seeing that flag raised.

B: Plowman Jones Simpson
HB: Byrne Weitering Marchbank
C: E. Curnow Cripps Petrevski-Seton
HF: C. Curnow McKay Murphy
F: Wright Casboult Pickett
FOL: Kreuzer Kennedy Dow
INT: Cuningham Garlett Mullet Fisher
EMERG: J. Silvagni Williamson Lobbe

Notes:
- Murphy to start forward. I think that we have enough classy midfielders who are bigger and stronger than him. Paddy Dow can get straight into the action.

- I think Cripps should also go forward more this season because of his height and athleticism as well as our added midfield depth

- I chose Mullet instead of Silvagni because otherwise there would only have been 6 defenders. Even though Jack is unlucky to miss out, Mullet has some weapons.

- Garlett is a chance for round one. Like Pickett did last year, he could have a great preseason and demand selection. It would be great to have him, Pickett and other’s to match Richmond’s forward pressure
