As expected, we'll get a front row seat watching these pricks unfurl the flag, a sight that had best get the blood of our players boiling.
Quote:
As expected, the 2018 season will kick off with the now-traditional Richmond and Carlton match at the MCG, which will have so much more significance now given the Tigers are the reigning premiers.

Given it is likely to be a Richmond home game, and the club’s first since their 37-year premiership drought broke in stunning circumstances, there could be a crowd of in excess of 80,000 fans in attendance.

Thursday, March 22
Richmond v Carlton, MCG, 7.25pm

I don't. Knowing us, it will be the start of the tank, once in a generation player up for grabs ....

Richmond will blast out of the blocks and kick six in the first quarter.
We will have a massive second and third quarters and be two points behind at the final change.
We kick two quick goals, hold the ball in our half for ten minutes without getting another goal and then collapse to be beaten by less than two goals.

I think I wrote that this time last year as well.

What odds can you get for Richmond to miss the 8 next year?

Realistically once the Afl finishes the investigation into the photo scandal Richmond should not be able to field a team.

Yep... media saying 80,000 are way off the mark. It'll quite possibly the biggest home and away crowd of the season.
